I’m not really sure whether the little magnetic flip switch for the strainer is anything more than a gimmick, but it is pretty handy to use. The resin handle and lid are designed to look like woodgrain…but, I think that it’s not done so well and it cheapens the otherwise attractive appearance of the teapot. (I thought it was wood when I ordered it…disappointed at what it is.)
