Rechargeable and Pretty Quiet
My last grinder burned out and I’ve been using a manual one till I saw this Elmway unit. I occasionally grind beans for myself when I’m in the mood for the specialty or for my friends who visit and only drink more expensive brands and MUST have fresh ground beans. The manual grinder’s wonderful but when I need enough for several people (like holidays) it’s inconvenient. I use this Elmway grinder in conjunction with the manual one, recruiting guests to chip in with some elbow grease. This unit’s pretty quiet and I like that it’s rechargeable so I’m not tied to the counter and electrical supply so I can use it outside in warmer months if I like. The internal coarseness adjuster works well once you get the hang of it (poor instructions) and it auto-stops when finished grinding.

Good for small quantities
Iâm the only one in my house drinking coffee so this works perfect for me. Iâm impressed with its grinding ability for such a small machine.

Solid Grinder!
Elmway Electric Burr Coffee Grinder, Rechargeable Mini Coffee GrinderThe Elmway rechargeable burr grinder is a great little unit, very solid and tightly put together. This is a very hands-on grinder, in that you have to open it to manually adjust the grind texture/level as well as opening the other side to put in maybe 1/4 cup of beans. It grinds slowly and consistently. As with all grinders, get ready for static electricity, and as I used it new the static was nuts. Just give it a minute and get a dedicated paint brush to clean it out with. Know that you will need to clean up the counter after making your coffee.Good grinder, would be a good gift for personal use.

Too much plastic; grinds very slowly; got two spoonfuls
Sorry, I really wanted to love this item as an off-grid grinder that is rechargeable with a ‘C’ USB cable to a solar panel. It has not met expectations at all and if I find out later I was wrong then I will revise this review. The engineering idea is good, but the materials are too cheap, especially the use of plastic. If this were all stainless steel with a glass catcher for the grounds, it would be of far better quality. It should be made to last.It took me 20 minutes to get the plastic top back in place and locked after filling the compartment with coffee beans. The slotting is very sloppy and imprecise. The mechanism and motor are extremely slow. I have never seen any grinder this slow. Even when I grind with my hand coffee grinder, I grind at a faster rpm than this! From a full compartment of beans, it ground only about two spoonfuls worth of ground coffee, then quit. Yes, the ground is fine and acceptable (at the most fine blade setting, which you do by turning the blade itself). The grinder grinds all it wants then stops. I don’t know why. It did not finish grinding all the beans that were put into it. Working like this, this is marginally useful to me. If you are in a hurry, forget it.

Excellent Travel Burr Grinder
Iâm very impressed with the ELMWAY Rechargeable Mini Coffee Burr Grinder. Iâve been grinding my own coffee beans for over 30 years and for most of this time Iâve used a burr grinder once I learned the difference it makes. When I travel I usually pre-grind a few bags for my French Press. I used a small manual burr grinder on a camping trip that worked, but was not easy to use. This ELMWAY Burr Grinder is a huge step in the direction of luxury. The grinder has three main parts; top, burr blade section, and the base with the rechargeable battery. Warning â when attaching the base to the burr grinder section, make sure to align the arrow on the base with the âlockedâ symbol on the burr grinder section (photo 1) to prevent accidental separation. I accidentally drop tested the base â it survived the fall onto my tile floor in the kitchen.I plugged in the base unit to charge before using. I like the USB C charging port, except that it is on the bottom instead of the side of the base unit, so you must lay the base on its side when charging. Not a big deal. As I pulled the top off, I noticed that the rubber gasket that seals the opaque plastic top onto the burr blade section â it is just set into a groove. Be careful not to dislodge it or damage it because this keeps the bean grinding dust from escaping during use and holds the top on.It took a few times playing with the bezel (photo 2) on the discharge side of the burr blade section to figure out how to adjust the coarse/fine setting. Out of the box, the bezel spun freely, but after charging the base and grinding a few beans, I could feel some resistance when turning the bezel. It seems like the initial setting is on a âfineâ grind. The adjustment is a simple design; turn the bezel counterclockwise and the blades of the bur grinder slowly separate for coarse (as seen on the graphic inside the burr blade section), and turn clockwise to narrow the distance for a finer grind. I ran a few beans through the burrs, checked out the grind size, adjusted, grind again and inspected, and repeated until I attained my desired grind size. This is a small travel grinder with a small bean compartment, almost like for single use grinding. Grinding the beans generates static electricity and grind dust sticks to the discharge side of the burr blade section after use (photo 3), but the kit comes with a small brush to clean the after use.The only negative part of my experience using the ELMWAY Burr Grinder was the instruction manual. It does not provide very clear instructions on how to adjust the coarse/fine setting to the desired level, but I was able to figure it out. Here is what I really like about the ELMWAY Burr Grinder:It is quiet for a burr grinder.Easy to use, just press the button and it grinds. The unit automatically stops when the last beans pass through.Lightweight system, easy for travel.

portable fine espresso grinder
Wow the grind level! It was able to grind my beans much finer than my regular grinder. It’s almost turkish coffee powder fine. The only drawback is that it takes a long time to do a super fine grind so I don’t think I can grind right before making my coffee. Takes up very little counter space and the gold accent is a nice tough of sophistication.
