Low quality, flavorless, and defective! I will not give Double Donut or their other brands my money again. Half of the Kcups in this pack were defective, without filters or with improper seals on the top of the kcup leading to overflow and coffee grounds everywhere. This is of course a quality control and manufacturer problem; I contacted the company that makes these and they were dismissive and kept telling me since I bought it from Amazon and not them directly it wasn’t their problem. I told them it was a manufacturer problem, not a vendor problem and asked if they care about the quality of their product and they didn’t respond. Not the first time I’ve had a response like this from them. The quality of the coffee itself just keeps going down too to the point where when a Kcup from them does work, it’s watery and flavorless. I contacted Amazon and they refunded me for a return. Thank you Amazon for being a better customer service provider than Double Donut.

Found 8 Coffee pods not sealed correctly. May have been more. Coffee grounds all over. Came out of box all over my stove. Not happy. Rec’d refund. However Taste was poor in my opinion. Not greatest flavor. Probably can only make the smallest cup. I disposed of the messy box n contents. Didn’t wish to wipe ea pod off. Just 2 much mess.

It ultimately comes down to personal preference. My negatives is just that I cant tell if some of the odd taste is the coffee itself or if it is a little old. I didnt notice in some cups of coffee, probably because I used dark colored mugs, but once I switched to light colored mugs I noticed the grounds left behind. That doesn’t really bother me, but I don’t experience than with other kcups.Bought on a whim, on sale. I didnt even pay attention to the roast level. I prefer dark roasts, and this is medium. So I already mildly dislike it, but that is on me. It’s doable but barely. While smooth, it leads with more “tang” and brightness than I care for.Flavor is lightly off putting. Reminds me of pretzels and licorice, especially when cold.I find that it brews best at 8 or 10 ounce size. In my experience, Half Caff any brand can lean weak. There is usually a slightly watered down vibe to it. This isnt too bad. Overall I like it enough to work through the box, but it wouldnt be a repurchase since I prefer a darker cup. But I would try a dark version if they had it.I like half caff when I am big time in the mood for coffee but dont want to be throwing back full caffeine the whole time. Also nice for when I want a little boost, but it is on the later side of day and I dont want full caffeine. I tend to cut off all caffeine by 1-2 pm.While I have enjoyed some haff caff options, I tend to just make a cup of regular and cup of decaff that I really like (there are some out there that are super strong), and basically making my own half caff. Could do same thing with a pot of coffee.Overall I think this is “OK” (hence, 3 stars). I have other half caff brands I prefer. I dont exactly enjoy this, so I will likely mixe it with another kcup to get a better flavor experience.
