Absolutely love this thing!! my 8 y/o can use it
I will say at time of purchase i didnt realize it was a used item… Thats on me! but even so it was pristine. no scratches, no dents, didnt look used, more like an open box return. As for the machine…. its taken me longer to write this than it did to setup and run. plug in, add water, add beans, and select your brew. done! my daughter loves to get up and make mommy and daddy a specialty coffee. I love the simple espresso while mommy gets a fancy Frappuccino. better than any big chain store and don’t even have to get dressed! if you are on the fence, buy it! it really cant get any easier.on a side note…. I am on well water. Not just well water, but very hard well water, and this thing holds up. it goes thru a clean cycle when you turn it on and you can press a button to clean whenever you want. so far its outlasted 2 of those counter ice makers…. Great quality and superb taste!

Great coffee maker….on the second try
We are 2 adults that drink on average 1-2 cups of coffee a day, mainly in the mornings, and we do enjoy a good cup of coffee. So after trying Nespresso cups, Keurig and few other cheaper espresso machines decided its time to invest in a real coffee/ espresso machine. After spending a good amount of time doing online research we have come to the conclusion this is the best machine for our needs. Placed the order, waited full of excitement for the delivery day, unwrapped the machine with great caution, plugged in, put some coffee beans, filled the water tank and waited for the magic to happen….Well….nothing happened…!..How can this be? its the best of the best… Well u can only imagine the disappointment seeing there is power in the machine since the light to notify about the empty tank of water are coming on but this is where the magic stops since the rest of the machine is dead as a door nail… a pretty damn expensive door nail…. Of course this happened on a Friday evening and DeLonghi customer service is M-F regular business hours.Thank god for the amazing Amazon customer service and so the next Monday we had a brand new machine at our door. This one worked from the first try….and what a machine it is… . Normally I would be pretty upset considering that such an expensive machine was faulty out of the box, but the coffee that it makes…makes up for any inconvenience.When you first start using it you have to read the manual…otherwise nothing makes any sense. Its a european brand after all and the various combinations of blinking logos for whenever something needs adjustment or cleaning are not very intuitive. Also programming auto shut off and calibrating for water type in your area requires following instructions. Once you start using it things are pretty straight forward.The great things about this machine: its very compact, quiet, warms up quickly, smooth grinder, makes amazing coffee. When I first bought it I thought I will be using the pre ground coffee a lot more, thinking it will be faster and quieter (when making coffee at 6 am). Honestly it probably takes 20 seconds longer to make coffee from freshly ground beans and it tastes so much better.Overall very happy with the purchase.

Do NOT BUY.. REDESIGN THE AND IT’S WORTH THE MONEY I PAID FOR IT
I owned this Model previously, and I thought I was buying the same the machine again WE LOVED OUR OLD MACHINE..however they redesign the model with no notification to the buyer. The machine is slimmer, holds less water, the beam hopper is smaller and has a cover over it, so you 1- can’t push the beans down the side to the middle of the hopper. 2nd- and most important you can’t remove this cover over the smaller bean hopper, when it time to do the monthly cleaning and you can’t clean hopper per the manual? The worst change is the steam spout, they redesign it so no matter what you do it make lots of foam, we hate foam, plus you have clean it between each use, not just run the steamer you have to run water thru it. After you finish maker you lattes you have to take the steam spout apart a clean it thoroughly or it won’t work right the next time you use it. Cleaning, we had are new machine two months and have had to clean it TWO TIMES. The old machine was once every 4 days.We owned our old machine 3 1/2 years and made 2 venti latte’s every day sometimes 2x’s a day and every othermonth I have a apt at 7:00a.m and I don’t like waking my spouse, therefore, I would use the old machine make a couple cups of regular coffee and my spouse would do the same when he got up. Therefore, the old machine got a lot of use. We loved are old machine, it was easy to use, and clean up was a snap. The old machine was starting to have problems so we decided before it died to replace with the same model. NO WHERE DID THE VENDOR NOTIFY OF THE CHANGES THAT HAD BEEN MADE TO THE SAME MODEL, HAD THEY DONE SO I WOULD HAVE EXPLORE OTHER COFFEE MACHINES.

Desde el dÃa 1 estoy encantado, es muy fÃ¡cil de usar, prepara unos excelentes cafÃ©s y se siente de muy buena calidad… No es para nada ruidosa y espuma muuuuuy bien la leche. Los filtros y demÃ¡s accesorios no son tan caros y los encuentras fÃ¡cil en Amazon… El soporte de fabricante parece ser bueno ya que viene toda la informaciÃ³n de a dÃ³nde acudir cuando tengas problemas. TenÃa una Krups superautomÃ¡tica que tuve que devolver y esta se la lleva por mucho.

Great purchase, been working for 2 1/2+ years without fail!I followed the instructions with the manual and have had no issues since. I replace the water filter every three months and descale as needed, also have set the heat to the highest settings with a fine grind to create the much desired perfect shot. Like others have said, do not use oily (or espresso) beans, as they tend to cause the system to work less effectively, I try to use a lighter/blond roast and never have a problem. The milk frother works great and heats up milk quickly with simple clean up.

Have no idea how we survived without this machine. Had one slowish warranty repair, and using our old coffee maker was hell. Awesome coffee, very convenient. Our visitors are always jealous.

Me entregaron una caja abierta, era evidente y lo primero que pensÃ© fue devolverlo, solo que por el precio y otras experiencias no quise arriesgarme, afortunadamente el equipo no se veia usado y funciona excelente, pagar algo tan caro y salir con esa sorpresa, es una pena, esperemos que ALGUIEN haga su trabajo y evite estos detalles.
