I read the other reviews before I purchased which helped me decide on this model. I played around with it terms of strength and coffee choices to get the blend I prefer. Only thing I would suggest to Delonghi is to put the serial number somewhere other than the bottom, would be easier when you register it

La mÃ¡quina funciona perfectamente. Tiene el mismo grupo de cafÃ© que el resto de mÃ¡quinas de De’Longhi y los acabados no se ven mal. La parte de programaciÃ³n estÃ¡ bastante bien y es cÃ³moda.

The milk frother nozzle does not stay on and keeps falling off – right into the mug with milk. The steam does not work properly – it does not make milk suitable for the cappuccino recipe. Probably will not be keeping.

NOT brand new! Itâs a used item!
When I open the box, I can smell some coffee taste. The Bean grinder have some coffee powder sticking it, take out the sinks also there were coffee grounds stuck to it. So mad!!!

Not a great coffee machine
First thing I noticed is the feel is thin and cheap. Lots of plastic and not very solid. The water reservoir float was ill fitting and floated off into the tank. A second replacement did the same. They said there was an issue with some of the reservoir. That said they never corrected the issue for me. As the coffee goes it was fine but dripped frequently and requires a cup underneath. This is also a common issue noted by many. Lastly the controls appear to need replacement as it gets stuck in the descaling cycle. Contacted the mfg and walked thought the issue and they said it looks like a sensor is faulty. Wow lots wrong with a few month old coffee maker. I had a Seiko for years and no issue. Would not recommend this unit as it is less than expected for a model in this class.

Disappointing
Coffee quality is average. I expectee the coffee to taste much better. The first espresso is horrible. And the coffee is always inconsistent.

We upgraded from a Philips HD8651 machine that we ran hard for 5 years, so a lot of my perspective of this machine is based on the comparison to my old one.First up, I’ll note that this machine is a lot quieter than the Philips model we had, still makes noise, as you’d expect from a coffee grinder, but way better for those early morning cups of coffee in a bungalow where your kids bedrooms are right off the kitchen.The water reservoir has a great capacity and lasts us for a whole day – which might not sound like a lot, but we drink a fair amount of coffee. Do yourself a favour, purchase the filter. Anything that prolongs the life of your machine is going to pay off down the road.Setting the machine up was simple with the included instructions and you get an additional year of warranty from registering, so that definitely felt worth it to me.For the taste, I find it an improvement over the Philips machine. The coffee comes out stronger (especially with my settings) and after dialing it in (again, instructions included), I get a nice crema on top.If you’re like us, you might be using this machine to replace your to-go cup of coffee and so it may be helpful to note that the “coffee” option on the machine yields 6oz of coffee and it’s nice to have the adjustable dispenser head.Now, the one negative thing I’ve found with this machine is the knockbox tends to have a fair amount of liquid in it, where as our old machine was always just moist coffee pucks, but I literally drain liquid out of the box before dumping in my green bin.Overall, super happy with this purchase and feel like it was a great budget option. Time will tell how it holds up to the rigors of our coffee drinking habits, but I’m hopeful it will last at least as long as our ultra budget Philips.
