It takes some getting used to, getting the coffee grind and dose level correct, as well as the best beans to use (which is obvs more personal taste). Once I’d made several cups as trial and error and used barista videos on YouTube etc I found the best setting and have not looked back and use this machine several times a day and haven’t touched my Nespresso machine since. The cold brew feature takes a while to make the coffee but it is very good. At the time I bought this it was around Â£150 cheaper than John Lewis, but the price here on Amazon kept fluctuating greatly and I got a good deal.Keep at it if you buy it, it’ll be worth it.

Cambie a esta cafetera desde una superautomatica que se estropeÃ³. El cambio en la calidad del cafe es impresionante. como de la noche al dÃa, no volverÃa jamÃ¡s para atrÃ¡s. Me alegro que se estropease la otra. No obstante, los materiales y componentes dejan que desear para una cafetera de mÃ¡s de 600â¬. Al cabo de un par de meses se estropeÃ³ el sensor de grano, se encendiÃ³ y ya nunca se volviÃ³ a apagar. Que podrÃa mandarla a arreglar por la garantÃa? Cierto, pero no me apetece quedarme sin cafetera un mes. En fin, que muy buen cafÃ© pero deberÃan trabajar mÃ¡s los detalles.

Can’t use or Dark roast or it will break the grinder and grinder can’t be cleaned on your own
I have a unit less than 1 year old. Grinder stopped working.I called delonghi and the first thing they asked me was if I used medium road or dark roast.I told them we have medium roast beans. I asked out of curiosity why they would ask that and if that would make any difference.I was told by the manufacturer that dark roast are greasier and it causes grinder to jam more frequently.My machine still jammed with medium roast and this is apprantely a common issue with their machine.Before calling the manufacturer, I thought I could take the grinder a part like any other all-in-one espresso machines at this price range to clear the grinder jam.You CANT with this one. I confirmed with the manufacturer that this unit doesn’t allow you to clean the grinder on your own but must be sent-in if it gets jammed.If the grinder jam is a common issue and if you can’t maintenance on your own; then this machine is a scam.Luckily, the grinder jam is covered by their 2 year warranty but once you run out of warranty, you have to pay $250 to have them clean the grinder.FYI, I only use this at home and make 3~4 espresso or latte in a week so if you drink everyday, the grinder jam can happen in about 6 months
