Excellent value; great extraction
Excellent value for price. It has no problem with an espresso grind. The bellows work well. Itâs obviously not zero retention, but darn close. For a conical burr grinder this is darn, darn good. Youâd really have to be an espresso expert to distinguish it from a flat burr grinder. Plus, itâs very small opposed to most other grinders. In the video I filmed it in front of my air fryer for perspective. The construction is solid powdered aluminum. I do wish the bellows were a little better constructed, but it works and thatâs the most important thing. Iâm very, very happy!

Very Pleased
I am new to coffee grinders, espresso machines and all the accessories so tried to do a fair amount of research before any purchases of such equipment. I wanted something that would perform well but a small kitchen makes size a large part of the consideration. I purchased a Breville Bambino Plus so needed a companion grinder. I have used this grinder daily now for two months and it has performed very well. I had to set the dial up to 6 for the beans I am using. There is little retention, I usually get the same wt out as put in, there is never more than 1 gram difference. I find clumping varies, depending on the bean – I buy beans from a local roaster and one type clumps a bit more than the other, but in my limited experience I do not consider the clumping excessive. I do use one of those WDT tools, and seems to work well, I get consistent results. I do not find the noise at all excessive or objectionable, especially since it only takes a short amount of time to grind. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it felt when I took it out of the box (it comes very well packed), has a good weight for its size. Love the look of it and the size is perfect next to my Bambino Plus with my limited counter space. Time will tell, of course, but so far I am very pleased with this purchase. I am so much happier with the espressos coming from my machines than I ever was with inconsistent coffee shop drinks.

consistent grind, but retains a lot of grounds
Well-built and solid feeling, the D40+ gives me very consistent fine coffee grounds, perfect for espresso. I have to take it apart and clean it out frequently. After 10 grinds (enthusiastically using the bellows to clear it each time), I removed a gram of coffee grounds from the burrs and outlet. When I am changing the grind size to dial-in my espresso shot (or switching to a different coffee bean), this amount of retention is a hassle. One of the Allen wrenches supplied for dismantling and cleaning were the wrong size. The fit & finish is otherwise good. If you don’t mind pulling it apart and cleaning it every few days, this is a good, budget espresso grinder.

Great grinder for espresso
Bought this back and june when i really my Barratza no longer grinded as fine as i wanted. It is great for espresso. However, I would not recommend it for coarser grinder. I use about 4-6 times a week is it produces a consistent grind size with minimal retention (.2 grams at most). This is a great option that doesnât break the budget.

Product arrived quickly. Build quality is high, full metal construction. Device grinds with good consistency and low noise. Bellows had a terrible smell, it did go away after washing.Device makes a high pitched sound when plugged in and not in use; not acceptable and therefore returning.

There are many options for a grinder, yet this one checks all the boxes. affordable (compared to espresso focus grinders out there), easy to use, easy to clean, and looks pretty nice. There are many options for a grinder these days but they can be extremely expensive and provide you with the same features as this one. For a person who is looking to get started in the espresso world, I highly recommend this product. It gives great results.

Perfect for daily use along with my 9Barista espresso machine.
Unless you are making tons of shots daily this grinder simply works great. I use it several times per day for my lattes. I have a zpress manual grinder and can honestly say going with this electric grinder has been a blessing for espresso. No regrets!

Very good product for the price.
It’s a prosumer item, so the price is more expensive than the typical consumer one, but worth it. Made a great difference in the quality of the espresso, which my previous regular grinders didn’t provide. Given the price of other prosumer grinders, this was very affordable.

Comprei o produto para simplificar a moagem dose única e ter menos trabalho para fazer meu Cappuccino pela manhã. Veio voltagem errada, flecha norte americana, tinha retenção alta 1g e só depois de pressionar a “sanfona de silicone” várias vezes eu conseguia baixar a retenção para 0,5g, não tem antiestatica nativa o que leva a ter de borrifar os grãos… Ademais, os intervalos de cliques era grande e não permitia ajuste fino da moagem para Espresso como eu queria… Se fosse um moedor barato ok! Mas é um moedor caro enão oferece nada que outros moedores oferecem. NÃO RECOMENDO a compra.

Extremely good finishing, kept plugged for the whole year and never behaved weirdly. Very customizable. The quality of the grounds is very consistent and it’s really easy to operate.It is a single-dose grinder which works great. The magnet on the cup is the cherry on top. The bellow works wonders for it to be a zero retention grinder,I use it for espresso, and the scale might be too fine if you switch often between espressos and pour-overs. I had to reset the burr once, I might have gone too far on the coarse setting.

Súper lindo y práctico, el precio por el cual uno compra este molino es la razón por la que sale victorioso el lado de los de su gama , ya que es todo de metal y con paciencia se logra un buen molido para expresos , el café con un tostado medio obturo lo muele sin ningún problema , pero si te gusta el café claro tendrás que verterlo en el embudo lentamente dando espacio que vaya moliendo pocos granos ya que se puede atascar y entra un sistema de seguridad que apaga el motor, gran adquisición para iniciar en el mundo del café . Ojo yo bailen en envase donde cae el café 😉
