These boxes are very sturdy, not too shiny but has a very pretty sheen. Perfect size for cookie gift tins as a party favor.The reason for 4 stars is that a few in each box (I purchased 2 sets) had very small dents on the top but it was not noticeable after I covered it with the decoration.I would still purchase again. All the guests loved the box as a keepsake
