Works right out of the box. Makes a very hot and delicious cup of coffee.
Arrived 3days earlier than expected. I only had it for 5days but so far it’s been excellent. Very easy and intuitive to use and set up. Larger water reservoir so i don’t have to refill after each time I make a cup of coffee. Multi size cup selection from 4-12oz depends on how strong you want your coffee. Love the included single reusable filter so u can add your favorite ground coffee. Excellent for far. I will come back in a month or so to update on this product.

    Better than Keurig
This coffee maker is probably the best K cup maker out there. I bought it for its high capacity water reservoir…..but after using it I am even more blown away by the speed it heats and produces a cup of coffee. From the moment you turn the machine on, press the Brew button, it only takes 10 seconds to start putting coffee in your mug. Plus the overal style and appearance is much better looking than Keurig. I am also very happy with the build quality and material. I’ve recommended this item to family and friends and I would buy this model again.

Finally a iPod maker that actually brews a a good cup of coffee.
Have used “the other brand” and never liked them. They didn’t make coffee hot enough. This maker is excellent, easy to use, easy options and….hot!

    Makes great coffee….but…
This coffee pot has lots of bells and whistles, and makes great coffee…but it “splatters” coffee everywhere when dispensing. You have to use a larger cup than the size you need or want. Makes a huge mess and I spend more time cleaning up coffee than enjoying my fresh brew. Very disappointing…

    Great Just Great!
Received this 2 days ago which was 3 days early.Set it up yesterday, performed the set up cleaning process which was wash the water reservoir and run a 10 ounce cup of water through the coffee maker. The first brew for the cleaning session the pump was noisy and I thought, oh no. But not to worry.I brewed my first cup of coffee this morning and I am tickled and happy. Pump was quiet. The machine comes set at the highest temperature level which is xtra hot. You can adjust the temperature down.No more Keurig for me. This machine is quiet, the coffee is super hot. To get that from Keurig I had to pay close to $300. Keurigs do not last long enough to be a good buy for your money and it’s hard to find one that lets you adjust your brew temperature and most don’t offer a 12 oz cup size unless you pay a great deal for one you find. This unit is on sale and I am tempted to buy another, put it away for the day when this one wears out.

    Everything tasted like burnt plastic.
When we got the item it smelled like plastic. Not just ordinary plastic smell with something new. A very strong plastic smell. Didn’t think too much about it. Didn’t use it for a couple days.We set it up and had it out, so it “aired out” and the smell wasn’t that bad. We followed the instructions on how to prepare the coffee pot for first use. Run water through a few times, etc. We also rinsed out the things that needed it as per the instructions. After using it the first time after cleaning it per the instructions, the coffee tasted like burnt plastic. Strange. So, we cleaned it again, 3 times to be sure. Again, made a cup of coffee, tasted like burnt plastic. So, we cleaned it AGAIN, and still the same thing. So, we ran some white vinegar through the machine a few times. Then cleaned it again per the instructions. Still burnt plastic. So, we decided to return it. Here is where the product review ends, and the seller review begins…We contacted the seller, and told them the issue. They sent us a return sipping label that required postage. We thought that was strange to get a return label that required postage. So, we contacted Amazon, and they spoke with the seller, Oceans Wholesale. They sent this to us…”Message from seller Oceans Wholesale:hello LMwashing the machine with apple vinegar you damaged it we are not taking it back and there is no refund”We had to contact Amazon AGAIN (actually, the third time), to get them to refund us money. Cleaning a coffee maker with white vinegar (not apple cider vinegar) isn’t going to harm a coffee maker. Companies suggest that all the time, and we, and I’m sure many of you have done that 100’s of time for different things.Anyway, it took us over a MONTH to get our refund and a return label that didn’t require postage.I can’t recommend this coffee maker because of the issue we had with the plastic taste. And I would NEVER recommend you deal with this rude, unfriendly, and unbusiness like company.

Think of the Cuisinart SS-10 as a “Super-Keurig”
Cuisinart seems to have solved some of the shortcomings Keurig owners complain about in their coffeemakers. First and foremost, the Cuisinart is a well-built machine, much heartier than many Keurigs. One of the most important improvements is that the Cuisinart has a descaling feature, crucial when you live somewhere with hard water. The Cuisinart is easy to use, has a large water tank and can brew several different coffee sizes at various temperatures. Have not found any downsides yet.
