Very Happy.
I used the Black & Decker Brew and Go for years, the first one lasted 8 years, the second 5, the third 3, and so on until it was discontinued. It made a great cup of coffee. I tried the Hamilton Beach Single, but I couldnât get the coffee strong enough, and then the Capresso Single Serve, which is a really well-made machine, but I donât like a basket filter, it tastes a little bitter to me, I much prefer a cone shape, but I havenât been able to find a single serve that had a cone filter like the B&D had.So, I decided to try a small coffee pot, researched a few, and started with the Krups, which I liked very much for its small footprint, cone filter, ease of operation, and it made a very smooth cup of coffee. However, it was not hot enough. So, I tried this one and was pleased to find the coffee is much hotter and this also has auto shut off (Krups does not). I did a temperature test while the coffee was in the pot and the Krups read 166 degrees, the Capresso Single Serve was 179, and this was right around 180. The water tank is a bit fidgety, but I just pour water into it versus removing it every time and I like that I can clean it so much easier than other machines. I didnât bother with the filter since I use filtered water, but I read it can help with how often you need to decalcify, so I may give it a shot, and I also purchased a Delibru gold tone permanent filter, because I would rather my coffee was not filtered through plastic. I didnât notice any plastic taste, but I did run 3 pots of water through it before I made the first pot. I found the coffee very smooth and was able to make it as strong as I like. Overall, Iâm very happy with this purchase.

Perfect for My Camper Van.
I bought this 5 cup coffee maker for my camper van. The small footprint fits nicely on my countertop and that’s important. It’s easy to fill, the reservoir is removable. It’s simple to use. It has an on/off switch and that’s it, no bells or whistles. It turns itself off so I don’t have to worry about forgetting to unplug it. I don’t like to carry glass on the camper so I especially appreciate the stainless steel carafe. But the best part is that this makes very good coffee. The temperature is perfect and I think that’s why the coffee is so delicious. Five cups might not work for a couple but I’m a solo traveler so it is just the right amount for me.The only down side is that the carafe spills a bit when I’m pouring into my cup. I have to have a dishcloth handy to wipe up the counter.

Cheap materials, good for what it is.
All I wanted was a coffee maker that turns on when I push a button, this is it. Hard to find for some reason. The carafe is super thin, I thought it was aluminum at first but it is ferrous steel. No insulation, fine for me because I let it sit to cool before putting it in a thermos. Reusable filter is nice. When you lift the lid off the ground container it drips water down onto the hot plate, or the carafe if youâve left it there. Makes decent coffee, I grind my own so I donât blame the machine for when it comes out bitter, I know what Iâve done. Charcoal filter container broke immediately upon inspection, still works just something to be aware of. The removable water basin is great. Only thing I donât like is the warmer hot plate (I donât need that stuff) and how cheap the lid and sprayer assembly feel. They work fine, just feels like an obvious failure point later on.

New Design Works Well
This 5 cup coffee maker has innovative design features that are improvements from its 4 cup predecessor. Thereâs a removable water tank with an internal replaceable filter. Thereâs a bigger shower head so the water falls over all the coffee grounds. The filter cover fits in the housing, and the carafe lid fits better; both creating a seal to keep the steam contained thus preventing the steam from condensing on the outside and making a wet mess. That was the case with the previous model, and this water would collect at the heating plate causing it to corrode. The carafe is still stainless steel, which is way safer and longer lived than glass. The power button starts by blinking a blue LED while it brews, then switches to steady blue when only the heat plate is operating. It turns off automatically after about 20 minutes for safety. This is called a 5 cup machine yet a standard cup is 6 ounces. It brews 24 ounces, which amounts to 3 8oz. mugs. This machine brews this amount in about 5 minutes. I suggest using quality #2 cone filters and forego the screen filter provided. Note that the filter lid must be completely closed; in order to engage the connection of the drip valve when the carafe is in place. Otherwise the coffee cannot release into the carafe and will overflow from the filter housing. The look of the coffee maker is modern, with the water silo feeding across to the filter housing.I used the previous maker in my office, used it in a kit box when staying at hotels and Iâve used it camping and it worked great. Iâm replacing the previous unit with this new unit after nearly ten years of reliable daily service.I highly recommend this coffee maker by Cuisinart

Good tasting coffee
I was very excited about getting this coffee pot thought it would be great to have instead of the one cup serving ones which it was but there were more cons than there are prosPros: brews a hot cup of coffee,Slim so it doesn’t take up a lot of counter space.Cons: you can’t program it, they lid on the thermal pot doesn’t turn close so all your heat escapes from out of the holes on top and from where you pour, warming burner only stays on for about a half an hour, and the price that you pay for this machine is just for its name. Takes around 10 to 12 minutes to brew five cups of coffee so you have to make sure that you get up early enough to get it all going. I am not a morning person so I will prepare everything the night before so when I get up I can turn it on and while I’m getting ready it’s brewing just kind of sad was hoping at least that the lid on your thermal pot would close. But it does Brew a good cup of coffee and it is much better than the single brews. Cuz you don’t have to worry about your pods exploding all over if you’re looking for a machine to make a pot of coffee this is the machine for you if you’re willing to pay that price.

Third day with this machine and it’s great. I like being able to take the water reservoir off and rinse it — as opposed to machines where it cannot be removed and thus may be growing all kinds of things unless you’re diligent enough to do the vinegar rinse periodically. Perfect for one person — it brews about 2 medium sized mugs. And the coffee comes out HOT. It replaces a 10-cup machine that I never used to the max and that has who knows what swimming in the reservoir. Nothin negative to say, just a great compact machine for 1 or 2 people.

I like that it is easy to use. Great for one or two people. The metal carafe is attractive and break proof. Theplastic filter works well with medium or coarse grind. The only drawback is that the coffee does not stay hot enough.
