Replaced Cuisinart’s old coffee center model with this new one. Overall it’s a good machine. There are a few design changes, and the first I am not a fan of, there is NO on/off switch. However, it seems to have an auto shut off. (I didn’t see anything in the manual about this?) I like to keep the pod area open after using so it doesn’t get moldy and funky inside. The light stays on like it’s waiting for the next pod, then at some point it’s not on?? So I’m assuming it’s auto shut off…The second change is that they added a little flip down shelf for the single serve cup. You can flip up for your travel mug and iced coffee glass if taller. With the old machine the cup was too low and coffee would spit and sputter all over the counter. A real design flaw, I had to put a cup upside down and set a cup on top to raise it, really looked stupid! I was going to send this machine back because of the on/off switch. But honestly, the flip shelf is the deal breaker. I really like this feature. Hopefully it’s next incarnation they’ll be a flip shelf AND have a simple on/off switch. For now if I go on vacation I would probably just unplug it.

The coffee pot/cake cup pot that I purchased was not exactly what I needed. Once I used it, I realize that the warming plate for the coffee pot had no control. Once the coffee is made, it cuts off the coffee in the thermal pot only stayed warm for about 30 minutes. Not what I wanted.

I love the concept and the set up of this coffee pot however it doesn’t have a timer to set to go off. Also, it does not give an option of how many cups you want to make you have to fill up a whole pot 10 cups and there’s only two of us and that’s a waste of coffee. Counsellors only use the large coffee pot just run water through to make tea and then pour that in our tea container. I mainly bought this so that I could have an individual to make decaf. My husband drinks caffeinated coffee.

The concept is great having the dual ability – but the pod function works horribly! I cannot use certain Keurig pods ( Cafe Escapes for one) the point makes such a huge hole in the pod – it makes a complete mess. I will never buy this again – hoping it pukes so I have an excuse to get rid of it!

This is not for under cabinet use. Everytime you need water, it has to be pulled out and opened from the top. Controls are not easy to use.
