Opinion is going to be very subjective
This is just like any other food item, whether or not you like it is going to depend on your taste. There are a lot of reviews from people who just hated it right out of the box, others love it. I seriously hate the flavor of coffee and I wanted an alternative to tea, so I tried it, and I do like it. Without sugar or some sort of creamer, it’s similar to black coffee, bitter and (to me) rather nasty. I put french vanilla creamer in it, which sweetens it and cuts the bitterness, but doesn’t make it as sweet as packaged hot cocoa. I’m told by my coffee-drinking friends that’s what they do with their coffee too, so really there isn’t much difference. It’s a coffee-like drink that tastes like chocolate. It is a bit expensive, you have to learn how much to use, but good coffee is expensive too. My suggestion is to get the smallest package of this stuff you can and try it before committing. Personally I like this flavor, the Nicaragua medium, the dark roasts are stronger and more bitter (like coffee again).

Horrible. Unreturnable bc it’s food, unfortunately. I followed the directions exactly, and ended up with a faintly chocolate flavored mug of murky water that looked and tasted very BLAH. CHOCOLATE TEA maybe???? The only way to recoup the cost is to add it to my regular brewing coffee for an additional slightly chocolate tasting coffee. Truly not worth it.

Great for hot chocolate!
Iâm not a coffee drinker, BUT – if you take a couple tablespoons of this stuff and mix it with about 12 oz of milk (and a little cream) with vanilla and sugar in a Vitamix, it makes kick-butt hot chocolate! No brewing – just liquify!

I have started to add to my regular coffee it seems to add a little flavor to coffee. All alone it is just very weak. I even doubled up the amount. Not something I will buy again but wanted to give it a try.

I placed my order 22 days ago and have not received the product or any communication from Crio. Order has been cancelled and payment refunded.Update: I just received a package from Crio that contained a letter of apology, the product I originally ordered and a second package of Crio labeled âWeâre Sorryâ so 5 stars for going above and beyond to remedy the original order issue. They explained that due to technical issues, they never received my order.The product itself is a good quality but the end result is hard to quantify. Yes, it brews like coffee and tastes like chocolate. Adding cream and sugar makes it start to taste like hot chocolate. I really love this Cacao blend/roast
I’ll start by saying that I love this blend. I’ve brewed this blend 3 ways: K-cup, Melitta cone drip and espresso maker.My preferred method of brewing is the espresso maker as it maximizes the brew intensity and flavor.I am a repeat customer and I highly recommend this for a change of pace.One added note: I recently sent a friend an order of the Cacao for a Christmas present. Long story short: the order got delayed with numerous messages from Amazon apologizing for the delay in shipping, we lost your order, etc etc etc.My friend finally received the order and many kudos to CRIObrU customer service for sending an additional selection in a “We’re sorry” package.
