Such a nice coffee maker. It is small so it fits nicely in a small kitchen, particularly a small vacation home or apartment. It is basic: 5 cups, 2-hour warming before auto shut-off, programmable to start brewing when you expect to be ready for your morning coffee, mesh filter (though you can also use paper filters), and glass carafe so you can see the coffee level. It works well and the coffee tastes good!The 5-cup capacity allows one person to make and drink two large mugs. In the alternative, it gives a host/hostess the ability to serve a coffee to a few guests from the first pot then make a second pot as folks chat over their first cup.The permanent filter works very well. Still, it is a bit messy to clean. The coffeemaker is versatile and one can use paper filters for ease of cleanup, which is what I have decided to do. The paper filter may require increasing the amount of grounds since the paper is not as easily permeable as the permanent filter.Also, while there is a clock on this coffeemaker which makes it possible to program when a pot will start, the directions tell the user to unplug the coffeemaker when it is no longer being used. Unplugging stops the clock so the clock likely needs to be reset whenever one wants to program the start of brewing.It does what you want and provides understandable instructions. Of course it can also brew tea! Works well!

This is of course a small coffee maker, but that is precisely what I was looking for. I really like the reusable filter for the coffee so that we can even put tea or tea bags in the basket. It was very fast to get the water to brewing temperature and pulled about 1000watts which is pretty impressive for a little kitchen appliance. The stop to pour feature did allow a couple of drips, but I pulled the carafe in the middle of the cycle on purpose and I feel it did just as good if not better than a lot of the name brand coffee makers I have tried before. After turning it off it cooled down fairly quickly, but not so fast that you risk your carafe cracking. The instructions are clear and they even include a scoop for your coffee!Hereâs my rating scale for products:1 Star: Do not buy. This item has serious flaws. I would never under any circumstances use again.2 Stars: Do not buy. Its usable at best, but you could easily find something better.3 Stars: Just ok. Buy if you can’t find an alternative. Some issues need to be addressed.4 Stars: Recommend purchase.
