You can have easy cold brew coffee at home!
This filter is essential for no-fuss cold brew coffee at home! This product definitely takes the mess and hassle out of enjoying your favorite coffee without paying coffeehouse prices. If you love the taste of cold brew but want to skip the drive-through wait or save a few bucks, then this is the tool you need. Why do I love this filter so much? It’s easy to use and clean, it’s durable, it provides a consistent end result, and it’s economical.Easy to use and clean: it’s as simple as removing from the box, giving a quick wash (it’s dishwasher safe, but I hand-washed), and inserting into your 2 quart/half gallon mason jar. You add ground coffee (coarse ground is recommended, I use around 3 oz by weight of ground Cameron’s coffee for 2 quarts) then fill your jar with water, add the jar lid, and let it steep in your refrigerator for 24-48 hours. Once it’s steeped as long as you like, lift the filter out and discard the grounds; you may need to rinse the filter to remove all of the coffee grounds, but then it can go straight into your dishwasher.Durable: I’ve had this filter for a few months now and it’s held up to my toddler dropping it and playing with it as well as multiple washes. There are no signs of wear and it still looks brand new.Consistent end result: This one is simple but so important – consistent results. I know that if I measure the same amount of coffee into the filter and steep for the same amount of time, I’ll have the same flavor and strength of coffee every time. I’ve made around a dozen batches of coffee using the same brand and water-to-coffee ratio, and I’ve found the coffee has been consistently great.Economical: This may be the most important criterion for me, as the filter paid for itself within the first month over buying cups of cold brew coffee at the local coffee shop or at the grocery store. For less than twenty dollars, you can use this simple filter with any ground coffee you choose and make your own. I spend around 10-15 dollars a month on ground coffee with this filter, which would save me 75-80 bucks each month over ordering a simple cold brew at the local coffee shop. The bottom line is any cold brew coffee fan can absolutely DIY at home with this easy-to-use filter and save money as well as enjoying a custom flavor or blend hassle-free.

Don’t use an espresso fine grind without filter paper. I bought a 2nd one a year or so later.
Ok. Saw comments dissing on this because they used fine ground coffee and had to say something. For regular coffee grounds, just make sure they aren’t fine. However, you can still make wonderful cold brew with Cuban-style fine espresso grounds. BUT BUT BUT you will need to use one of those large paper funnel coffee filters along with it (the paper filter doesn’t alter the flavor, I promise).Do a chemistry lab style fold with the paper filter (web search it if you don’t know) to better fit the infuser, place it into the infuser, then pile in the grounds. I do around 40-45g of grounds with the quart jar sized infuser with filter paper. Sometimes I pour about a cup of 185 F hot water slowly over the grounds before adding cold water around in the jar, if I want to have a slightly different taste to the coffee.Close up the jar, leave it in the fridge for 2 days, and voila! About 24-28oz of beautiful cold brew espresso.Cleanup is a breeze because you tip just the infuser over the acid loving parts of your garden (or a garbage can) and the plug of grounds with the paper filter fall out. Rinse the infuser of any stray grounds, and then you are ready to go again.Others might say, “Why use this infuser then, if you use another filter?”I do it because this thing is multi use. It filters chucks of calcium from my electric kettle (my area has massive amounts of calcium in the water so cleaning the kettle frequently is a no go). It helps me with tea, both cold and hot. And it works with my glass jars which has me reusing stuff rather than making more trash. The infuser does it’s job well, and I think others should know about it too.Cheers!

    Excellent quality filter!
This steel filter is definitely exceptional quality. I have been cold brewing my coffee for about 5 years and I’ve tried several different methods. I used a Filtron system for the first 4 years and I like the idea of steel over plastic for brewing by far. It fits perfectly in the quart jar and is a simpler, tidier way of brewing. It was easier to manage and doable for placing in the fridge while brewing. I’ve always brewed on the countertop. The only downside for me is that I’ve always brewed about a pound bag of coffee with each brew and a batch lasts my husband and I a week to 10 days. I am accustomed to having a concentrate that we like at about a 1 to 4 ratio (coffee to hot water). This filter held about 1/3 of a bag. I like to drain the coffee and fill it again with clear water to be sure and get ALL the coffee out of the grounds; then I mix it all together. With this filter I ended up with a more diluted batch that won’t last as long, but that does not take away from the fact that this is a very nice filter.I would like to add that I had a gallon-size Mason jar on hand that I wanted to try out. The mouth was a bit large for the filter and I found a plastic lid that fit over the mouth of the jar. We cut a hole in it to fit the filter and hold it in place at the mouth of the jar. I expected to use it for a batch of cold-brew. Not a good plan – but would probably be great for loose tea leaves with hot water for a large batch of tea. This got me thinking. . . I would buy a larger version of this filter for my gallon jar if I could get one. Hint. Hint.

I was using 2 quart Mason jars for cold brew tea and coffee then straining once brewed. This filter is brilliant, saves time, mess and is simple to clean. Pop it in the jar, put tea or coffee in the filter, add water, pull out filter once brewed. This filter is well constructed, fits perfectly and and makes 2 quart brewing a charm. Highly recommend if you enjoy cold brew.

The filter is perfect. I do not use it for cold brew. I am finding that my Keurig pod (for Tim Horton’s coffee) have a tendency to burst and end up with coffee grains in my cup. This filter will removed them all easily. I would buy again.

Perfect fit for the jar/pitcher from the same brand. Used it to make milk tea and worked exactly as needed. Cleaning can be a bit finicky since I don’t want a bunch of tea leaves going down our drain. But overall it’s easy enough. Very happy with this purchase!

I ordered a different cold brew filter awhile back, and it was super flimsy and ended up falling apart. I threw it away and ordered this one. It is very sturdy, thick mesh.. super durable. Would definitely recommend.
