    Love it!
I’ve tried quite a few of Volcanica’s coffees, including some of their more exotic varietals, such as the Kona Peaberry.Side Quest: Let me tell you something about the Kona. If you’re sitting there dropping nickels into a bucket to save up for a pound of the stuff, don’t do it. The Kona is wonderful. It’s everything you ever wanted a cup of coffee to be. BUT that’s all it is. It’s a perfectly-balanced lovely smooth coffee. ProTip: That’s great and all, but you can get that in other forms for a fraction of the price. The Kona is not worth its sticker price. A coffee that expensive should really jump out and “wow!” you with richness and complexity. The Kona, while lovely, doiesn’t do that. It tastes just like the coffee you’re drinking now just with whatever bit you don’t like about it removed. The best way to describe the Kona is “unobjectionable”. It’s not terribly memorable, but there’s not a thing wrong with it either. So now you’ve got the scoop on that, get yuo a scoop of this instead.I’m not kidding, put the Kona out of your mind, grab a pound of this, and consider your life complete, It’s a great coffee with a very bold richness and layered flavor that you imagine that you’ll get with the Kona, but won’t. Sometimes a wonderful coffee can be had without breaking the bank. Remember, the most expensive coffee is just the rarest or most in demand, that doesn’t mean it’s the best. Stay caffeinated, folks! (Hey, we’re middle aged. We’re too old to do street drugs and too young to be hooked on prescriptions, so this is all we’ve got!)

    I like it
I suppose it is a matter of taste and I do not pretend to be a coffee expert, but I really like this coffee. Sumatra is supposed to have less acid in it. Not sure if I could tell the difference by tasting it, but I love the taste and the aroma. I grind enough to fill a small jelly jar so I don’t grind too much in advance. I use my personal K Cup in my Keurig. Very full bodied flavor.

    Dark but sweet
This is a sweeter version than Starbucks’ Sumatra beans, but still full bodied and definitely a dark roast. I prefer to mix it half half with San Francisco Bay’s Rain Forest Dark Roast so it’s a little less sweet. That said, I can’t justify the money when I prefer to mix it. But I would still like to try some other flavors. It is good high quality coffee, fresh, and low acid. I would recommend giving it a go if you’re looking for a new brand of coffee.

    Yummy for espresso
Very good but before I ground up a batch from whole beans I had to pick out the white uncooked beans..i mean wasn’t like 200 of them but surely 3 or 4 each grind..just surprising

    So-so
It’s ok, but not worth the price when Folger’s Black Silk is just as good if not better
