My Absolute Favorite
This is my absolute favorite coffee. I order it month after month and it’s consistently fresh and loaded with deep, smoky flavor. The flavor profile is unmatched in any other dark roast I’ve tried as you can really taste the chocolate and caramel overtones and the notes of smoke. This coffee has a low acidity and it’s smooth to drink. I only allow myself one cup a day, brewed in a French press, and the aromas and flavors are indulgent.

Wonderful coffee-stellar customer service
Iâve been using the Volcanica dark roast espresso in my 15bar Brim espresso machine. The dark roast espresso doesnât trigger my silent reflux and pain experienced with lighter, more acidic coffees.Sadly, my machine cannot handle the most recent bag. I tried everything I could think of and nothing would work. Upon reaching out to Volcanica, they researched (even went so far as to call the machine manufacturer! )and finally figured out that the espresso grind was changed recently and itâs sadly just too fine for my machine.They even offered me a free bag of coffee to replace the one that I cannot use.Amazing company and delicious coffee! Just beware that dark roast espresso will not pull thru a Brim espresso machine.

Mediocre flavor
Ordered Volcanica dark roast Sumatra on recommendations from several websites including Amazon but was disappointed. It is among the most expensive but lacks bold flavor of typical coffees from Sumatra Mandheling. Not buying again.

Great taste
I started having stomach problems in the morning with my old coffee, so I shopped for a low acid coffee. My first purchase of another brand didnât measure up so I tried this one and the coffee flavor is very good so Iâm sticking with it. I now have it on subscribe and save for automatic deliveries.

Finally, a low acid Cuban Coffee
I have been drinking coffee since 1980. I have had every brand, including some newer “higher end” brands. This coffee is it. Delicious with a low acid finish, which is mostly missing with every other brand. Keep up the quality and I will keep buying!
