UPDATE: Closure technique required to prevent leaking but I grunt a bit as it works. Testing above the sink as suggested by others is recommended!The caps on my earlier Copco cups made coffee taste like it had been roasted with old tires. I threw them out years ago. The caps on these don’t. I was very pleasantly surprised.I think I’m going to get another pair as spares. This is the first “commuter cup” I’ve had that didn’t taste of eau d’Michelein. (or essence of Goodyear).The microwave compatibility and dishwasher safe characteristics are two other reasons adding to my 5* evaluation.UPDATE:With cap and cup clean place cap light on the cup. Turn it backwards (counter clockwise) with light pressure. It will click when the threads on the cap are engaged with threads on cup. Then tighten the cap gently then firmly. Test. Still leak? Take it off and repeat until you’ve got the feel for it.This does work!
Like many others, I bought these expecting I’d be able to use the lids on my older Copco cups as well. Not so.Then I dribbled coffee all over the front of my clean shirt several times during my first use. ARRRHGGHHH!Then I read the reviews as saw that (a) most folks seem to have leaking problems (b) but many also seem to overcome them. I intended to be one of these (b)s.The threads on the things are not normal screw threads with a lead-in starter. Instead they seem to be “Push the cap on really hard and it’ll click, then turn it as far as you can as hard as you can.” That seems to seal the lid nicely. The “…as hard as you can” part’s a bit difficult for me, at 80 I don’t have the grip of a youth of 60

Love the way they look
These are a nice set of cups. But they do not hold heat for very long maybe an hour or so. They leak if you get any liquid up where the threads are for the cap which is a pain. It is hard to get the coffee out from behind the band that wraps around it. I do find that since they can go in the microwave I like that a lot. I don’t put them through a dishwasher. But they are easy to clean by hand.

Favorite cups
I love these for my morning coffee. They don’t leak if you get the top screwed on correctly. The coffee stays hot but not burning like with stainless steel cups. They go through the dishwasher well. Would buy again.

THIS MUG SUCKS
All I wanted was a simple cup for my coffee. You know, the kind that keeps you from questioning all of your life choices at 6 a.m. when you’re barely functioning and just trying to make it to work. So, when I saw this cute little mug, I thought, Why not? Letâs give it a shot.Mistake number one: I didn’t read the reviews. I thought, “I’m different. Those other people just had bad luck. Yeah, well, joke’s on me.So, the cup arrives, and Iâm excited. I don’t test it out right awayâbecause why would I? I live dangerously. Fast forward to the next morning, and I’m already running late. I fill this adorable disaster of a cup with coffee, seal the lid, and lift it with the grace of a caffeinated angel… only to witness a full-on Niagara Falls of coffee cascading out of the cup. My kitchen floor? Drenched. My poor dog? Baptized in French roast.This cup is the absolute worst. I wouldn’t trust it to hold air, let alone coffee. Save yourself the misery, spend an extra $5 on something that wonât destroy your morning and your faith in humanity. Heck, this exact cup is probably on sale at Dollar Tree, and that’s being generous. ð¥´

Easy to clean, keeps coffee hot, leaks from two spots 🙁
I bought this 2 pack of cups so my wife and I can have nice, easy to clean, similar but not identical cups. The cup holds about 4oz less than I prefer, but you’ll still have a decent enough amount to drink.I love the quality of the cup itself, and the feel, especially the Silicone hand protection wrapper. Which is also part of one of my complaints…The cup just simply leaks.As best I can tell, the rubber gasket on the lid is too far up inside the groove, and the cup edge cannot get in there far enough to make a seal. Additionally, the part of the flip lid that covers the drinking hole is made of the same material as the rest of the lid, instead of silicone or rubber. This causes it to leak as well.A normal person may never notice these issues; however, I like to use agave in my coffee and some almond milk, then I need to mix them, normally I would close the lid and shake my cup. On this particular cup though, I have to stir with a spoon to avoid spilling any.A few oz larger, a silicone lid stopper, and making the lid groove that holds the gasket need to be shallower as well and I’ll replace most of my other mugs with sets of this cup, I really do want to love it and am willing to change my habits to make it work for me.One last point for users, if you do cause a leak by shaking or tipping the cup, you unfortunately will have the task of either wrapping the entire cup in multiple layers of napkins/paper towels, OR you need to remove the silicone hand protection wrap to get the fluid out from under it. (note that on my pair, the silicone wrap does not angle properly and so is loose on the top and collects a lot of liquid, while being tight on the bottom and holds it in until I try to drink again, and then spills some more (I have not removed it yet, so it is possible it just shipped upside down and I need to flip it).Please note I Was not paid for this review, nor did I receive this product for free. I made a valid purchase on Amazon for this product.

GETTING A SPARE LIDS
I HAVE BEEN BUYING THESE CUPS FOR AS LONG AS I REMEMBER. PROBLEM IS THAT THE LID HAS A FLIPPER ON TOP OF THE LID THAT EASILY BREAKS OFF. DOES ANYONE (INCLUDES SELLER) KNOW WHERE I CAN GET REPLACEMENT LIDS? I HATE LOOKING FOR A REPLACEMENT MFG.

Iâve had 3 sets of the going on 5 years now. These are the perfect coffee travel mugs. I just came back to see if I could order more but sadly I donât see them anymore at a reasonable price here in Canada. They tighten up perfectly & the flip top snaps tight. They arenât heavy or overly obvious blingy like some travel mugs & they wash up nice. They arenât cheap feeling either. I actually use them at home every day, perfect for outside to keep your coffee warm & to keep the bugs out too haha! The rubber holders are starting to loosen so I wanted to see if I could get new ones and keep these as backups.
