No spill no worries
I’ve had these for years. Literally years. Maybe the company doesn’t want to hear that, since they want to sell more, but these are so robust and useful I haven’t had the need to get rid of them! 6 years and still going!
I am able to walk anywhere, set them anyplace, and drink anytime I want at work. And they don’t spill. The locking mechanism adds added protection for peace of mind. But still, when you release the button, they close instantly. The metal is robust and strong, since I have dropped them on an occasion or two.
One fair word of warning; the lit itself, while easy to use and close, is a pain to wash by hand. I usually have to toss them in the dishwasher to get all the coffee residue out. And since the body itself is vacuum-sealed, you can’t toss it into the dishwasher with the lid.
Obviously this has been a minor quibble since I have been using these for SIX YEARS without any issues or complaints.

Absolutely love these – keeps coffee hot and doesn’t spill
I’ve used this version of Contigo travel mugs for years and love them. They keep coffee hot for hours (literally all morning), particularly if you use hot water to warm the mug before adding coffee. The ease of one-handed use and the ability to prevent spills is why I love these mugs. These are so reliable (if you use the lock on the top of the lid) that you can toss these full with coffee into a backpack and not really have to worry about a spill. Of course, I’ve had a few occasions where I didn’t remember to lock the top and when the backpack tipped over, the push button to release the top valve so you can drink was pressed and I did get coffee everywhere. However, if you remember to use the lock that is unlikely to happen. I’ve dropped these so many times I can’t count – they haven’t broken. The lid has an interal mechanism that you lift up to allow for cleaning. Super easy to do. I even throw these in the top rack of my dishwasher to clean (lids included) and haven’t really had any problems. Note: Instructions say not to wash the ones wrapped in a colored film in the dishwasher. I do anyway. At some point, after years of dishwashing the plastic film may start to separate (mine did) and then you’re left with a stainless steel mug — no big deal. These are way better than the style of lids that you have to lift a cover up with every sip and then stap it back into place. You can even fill these with water, lock the lid in place and then turn it upside down and shake and at most you’ll get a drop or two that was in the sipping mechanism but you’ll be surprised that there’s virtually no leakage at all. In fact, if you don’t take a sip first and start with a dry lid, you’ll likely get no leakage at all even with aggressive shaking (think of the shaking that a bartended does with a mixed drink). I can’t recommend these enough. The only thing I will say is that the latest version has a slightly different (almost negligible) measurement that makes them not sit properly in my car’s coffee holder. Older versions of this same mug did not have this issue, so there must be a slight change in the width of the base of the newer mugs. If you use the mug in the car, I recommend testing it before use — if it doesn’t sit well, then you can return it.

The best thermos
I use this on the daily for matcha and coffee (drinking out of it as I type). I’ve gone through a handful of thermos’ and leaky beverage containers until I found these. This was the one I was looking for all my life. It really stands up to my active lifestyle and actively dropping and throwing it in my car or on the ground. My partner is an electrician and constantly abuses his mug but never looses a drop of coffee! The locking mechanism is nice when throwing it in a bag and not having to worry about anything leaking out. The beverage only comes out when you press the button. The drinking spout is a nice angle and hardly drips (drips on me due to my clumsiness). Hot things stay hot and cold things stay cold. We use a bottle brush to clean them, but a sponge and a small-ish hand will fit into the containter. The metal prevents the coffee from penetrating the mug so I can but another beverage in without the linger of coffee. They are really the best and only thermos we need in the house. Easy to read oz. on the bottom for when you go get coffee to be rung up. Highly suggest Contigo water bottles…same wonderful quality!

Love my Contigo
Have you ever just wanted it a perfect coffee mug? Forget about the whole travel mug thing, which is great to be sure, but this is all I use at home! My ceramic mugs just sit sadly in the cabinet while I daily have my coffee in a Contigo mug. Why not? It keeps it hot, is easy to handle, is easy to clean, whatâs not to like? And when I have to head out, I just top it off, screw on a top, and Iâm good to go! I have 4 now. When all 4 are dirty, I wash with a bottle brush and start again. My coffee is always hot, so I am always happy. I do believe my old ceramic coffe mugs are headed to the donation pile!

These are the best travel mugs
My coffee stays hot and doesn’t spill. These tumblers have the best locking system around. Someone stole my last one and I ordered a new set the same day.

So far so good. Literally spill proff and keeps hot beverages hot. Just what we were looking for.

Quicker delivery than anticipated. Arrived in tact, always a bonus. Just what I ordered #lovemycafetièreblackcoffee in my cup hot and ready to drink before a 12.5hour shift. My other half likes his too.
Big Daddy Stovepipe –
Best design so far, no rubber rings to keep in place, wonât leak at all due to new design.

I have a collection of Contigo mugs. I use one all week and my only complaint is that the lids are very hard to clean, even with parts that move for easy cleaning. Usually I just soak them for a long time and they’re alright for use. Otherwise, they’re a fantastic mug. My coffee is still warm when I leave work at the end of the day, and it never spills. I can lock it and throw it in my bag and not worry about it spilling.
