Incredible mug – stays warm, doesn’t leak
I have two small children – a toddler and an infant. These mugs are a miracle for my wife and I. When we make ourselves coffee in the morning, we aren’t always able to drink it all right away, depending on what is happening with our children. These mugs seriously stay warm forever! I’m writing this review at 3:00pm, and my coffee that I made at 8:00am is still warm (obviously not hot, but not lukewarm either – definitely pleasantly warm.)
They also are amazing for spill proof. My toddler loves to grab our mugs and teeth on the lids. We’ve never had a problem with any coffee going anywhere, though. Pre-pandemic, my wife threw this into her backpack or her purse when she traveled to work, and never had any issues either.
The silver are the best to get. The colored options are all cool – we had a black and a blue, too. However, it’s not a great idea to put the colored ones in the dishwasher – the paint will start to chip and break off. It’s still totally usable, but it definitely no longer looks good. However, you don’t have the same issue with the silver – it’s just the natural metal color, so no flaking or anything when running the whole mug through the dishwasher.
I’ve also found these mugs great for bottle feeding on the go. Both my kids have liked warm formula. With this, we can easily bring along warm water with us, and then fill the bottles when we’re ready to feed.
These also fit in our Keurig. I’ll be honest, I don’t remember which model we have, so I know that’s probably not sure helpful. But we just need to remove the drip pan on the bottom, and these fit right in.
End of the day, they are amazing mugs, and I highly recommend them!

Twice the Features – Less than half the price of YETI
Honestly, if you can get over not having a trendy Yeti cup in your hand, these are by-far the better option.
#1 – Heat Retention: the vacuum sealed stainless steel is as good as any $45 cup you can buy (all the tech is the same on these cups). But because of the sealed lid, it holds the heat longer. Half the time, I’ll make a coffee right before I leave, throw this in the car, make my 30 minute commute and it’s almost still too hot to drink when I get to work.
#2 – Non-leaking: a feature very few other vacuumed sealed cups have. I can literally put the valve in the Lock position and throw this in a backpack with no worries about it leaking or spilling. Awesome for when your hands are full leaving the house. And whether it’s “Locked” or not, drinking requires pushing the button, which is very natural and doesn’t require an odd grip. So, even if you lock of the brakes and it tips in the car, you’re not getting coffee all over.
#3 – Price: Yeti has drive up the prices of these vacuum sealed cups to ridiculous prices, even though they don’t anything different that any other company that doesn’t have YETI stamped on the side. However, getting one of these for under $20 is an excellent value…and I got mine on sale for $12.50, which is a no brainer.
#4 – Super easy to clean. The stainless steel interior literally rinses clean and never stains or absorbs the stale coffee flavor. I’ve forgotten it in my car for a couple days…. hit it with a little soap and hot water…shake it up real good…wipe the lid…good to go.
The only MINOR thing I noticed is sometimes, the drink doesn’t poor out the spout the way you’d expect. It has to pass through the lid’s valve, so it kind of seems like you have to give it a little more “tip” to grab a drink. This is only an issue with the first couple sips when you’re trying not to burn the crap out of your mouth because the cup is keeping the coffee so hot.

Very sturdy with no leakage
Love this mug so far. Haven’t had any problems with leaking. Coffee stays warm for several hours

Easy to clean, stays hot…
Keeps coffee hot, easily cleaned. Should have an indented mouthpiece, bc it burns just under your upper lip. The Contigo coffee mug with the handle has the perfect mouthpiece. Other than the drink spout, it’s great!

Simple and very effective
Iâve been using and loving this cup for years now. It does a great job of keeping my coffee hot and does not spill or leak, even when dropped hard. Iâve replaced mine a few times so far due to normal wear or damage from rough handling. After a few years of daily use mine started to have some bad seals, but thatâs to be expected.
I really like that the stainless steel version is dishwasher safe, so itâs no hassle. I had a painted one too and that one just needed the body hand washed. It wasnât a big deal, but was a little annoying to have to do.
My only real complaint is that over time and many washings, the rubbery part of the lid started to become gummy and a bit sticky as it started to break down. It still functioned fine but felt really unpleasant.

A bit hard to clean, but it’s tipped over more than once and no spill!!! Plus does an adequate job of keeping coffee hot/warm…

SO convenient, doesn’t spill and dishwasher safe!
Love my Contigo – this is the sixth one I have purchased. I need to keep buying them because my family members fall in love with and abscond with them. I buy the stainless steel because it can go in the dishwasher. I purchased a painted/colored one once and the color chipped off in the dishwasher, so now I only get the silver. This one is the perfect size for the car. It fits in the cupholder in the car and the cupholders at the gym. And it doesn’t spill even if it takes a hard fall. Pros: Dishwasher safe, no spill, cupholder friendly, no straw to wash. keeps drinks hot/cold for awhile. Cons: Does not keep hot/cold all day, just a couple of hours

Great hot/cold retention
These travel mugs keep coffee hot for hours and cold drinks cold for hours. You will probably still have ice cubes after 5 or 6 hours. The design of the lid makes these mugs virtually spill proof. They are a bit pricey, but well worth the money.

Iâve been using the Contigo West Loop for a few weeks now, and Iâm genuinely impressed. The **vacuum-insulated design** keeps my coffee hot for hoursâI’ve even had it still warm after 5 hours, just like they promise! When I use it for cold drinks, it stays cool all day, which is perfect for long commutes or road trips. The **spill-proof lid** is a lifesaver; Iâve tossed it in my bag, and not a drop spilled. It’s incredibly easy to clean, and the size is just right for a cup of coffee or tea on the go. The sleek **Steel/Black finish** looks fantastic, and itâs durable enough to handle everyday use. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable, stylish travel mug!

One of the best travel mugs. This is my second purchase as the first oneâs color peeled off slightly so I got a silver one.
It insulates really well and doesnât spill everrrr

I have a number of insulated travel cups. Each has some sort of no-spill feature, with varying levels of success in design. This cup isn’t as insulated as, say, a Yeti or a Nissan . . . but unless you are going to take more than 4 hours to drink a small coffee it is more than adequate.
Where it shines is the no-spill design. You have two push a button to drink, and it’s a strong enough spring that there’s no way for it to leak without pressing the button. The button is recessed and cannot bee pressed by mistake. Even if you were too deep it perfectly so the button landed directly on the tip of something small, it would only open for a few milliseconds with the opening facing up, I doubt you would spill even a drop. If you are paranoid of even that, the button locks. It would be nearly inconceivable to have a spill with this, even unlocked.
The design makes it a *little* hard to clean, but they’ve even made a quick-release mechanism to lock the works open to make it easy easier to clean.
If not spoiling is your most important consideration on a really good stainless insulated cup, this is a no-brainer. It’s the best-engineered travel mug I’ve ever used.

I have spent many hours researching travel mugs, so I could finally have a leak free hot latte every morning when I commute to work. This was the winner. With this leak free AUTO SEAL mechanism , a Mercedes of coffee mugs. It was expensive too, minimum £25 so I decided to wait an order one on AMAZON US half the price including the delivery . I even ordered extra one for my partner. While I was waiting I bought a budget HIWILL Double Walled Vacuum Insulated Travel Coffee Mug, for ten pounds. I chose the smaller size for my son and was using it while waiting for Contigo. Yes it was too small for a large latte but leak proof and hot for hours!!! When contigo 2.0 arrived it was impressive but heavy. The auto seal works well and it’s easy to clean. It’s bigger than Hiwill but that’s what I wanted, Unfortunately coffee loose the temperature very quickly. Having been using the hiwill I could feel huge difference. No more hot coffee on my desk when I arrive to work. So disappointed….I am considering sending them back , but it will be to US … UPDATE: After few hit and misses with latte temperature and rinsing the cup with boiling water to make it hot I have no issues with the right temperature for at least 3 hours ! A win!
