Not gonna lie, this thing is hard to open. Yes it is leakprrof, maybe that’s why it’s hard to open. I did just get it today so maybe I have to break it in a little. It did keep my hot tap water tea hot for like 4 hours, so the insulation is pretty good. But man this lid is hard to open to get a drink. I opened it in the dark and immediately turned on the light because of the force I had to use to open it I thought my fingers were bleeding. Other than that. It arrived undamaged, easily cleaned, and definitely keeps your drink hot or cold for a few hours. The cup itself is thin and tall too tall to fit under the brand name single serve coffee machines. The lid is awkward and hard to open for the stopper part. The lid does not come apart for better cleaning. The way the lid twists on makes it so it only stops in two spots. So you have your choice of to close to where the handle is or to far away. But it does keep the coffee hot and it is leak proof.
