Edited — My grinder broke after 6 months – I reached out to the seller who graciously sent an immediate replacement. It appears that the first generation had a small defect which is now fixed. It is a very nice grinder and I recommend it. Lower priced and same features than other burr grinders. Also it’s small and I like that since I don’t have much space in my kitchen. Buy with confidence.

Was great, but now broken after 7 months
This grinder does a great job, or it did until it just broke. I love how small it is and it is nice to be able to have so many choices of grind. We purchased this shortly after the first of the year and have been using it about 3-4/week. It did great but all of a sudden it will not grind for more than 10 seconds and then seizes up. Can’t seem to locate what is wrong and now we will need to replace it, but probably not with the same one. I would expect something for more than $50 to last a bit longer.

I really liked this grinder because it hit the price point and it made just enough for me – since I am the only coffee drinker at home. I do prefer a finer grind, but it was ok… Unfortunately I have had it less than a year and it has stopped working properly. It will now only grind in large chunks, which I will not use. So now I am looking for a new one…

This thing is REALLY slow. And Quiet.
Yes, it is slow, slow, slow, which is EXACTLY what I was looking for. People don’t realize how their coffee is murdered with excessive heat using those bladey-type grinders that spin at 6,250 RPM and beat the living daylights out of the beans. So what if this takes over a minute for one of my grinds? I’m off preparing the aeropress unit and heating the water.The unit seems to be well-built, very simple, cleans easily, and just does its job fairly quietly.**UPDATE** 7 months later, after daily use, this unit is still going strong. I finally have it set to a grind that works well for my Aeropress, and it delivers a consistent, perfect grind every time. I see some reviews where the unit has fallen apart, and I might have already gotten their updated version, but mine shows no signs of getting tired or failing.Travels great. I put it in the camper and had an entire summer of perfect coffee every morning while traveling. It is quiet compared to other grinders, and it will not break the bank. You can spend upwards of 300 bucks for products that do this same thing.

This thing is difficult to load beans into.Left unattended on a smooth surface, it would eventually walk itself off the counter.The grind is high quality, however. Watching it do its thing is like watching coffee fall in a calm snow globe. It is worth the wait to get a grind of this quality.I make cold brew and need to load the thing three or four times to grind enough beans for a cold brew press. But it lasts me three or four days.It requires a bit of patience to use this device. The beans must be loaded slowly. The grind is slow. The whirring noise is far less abrasive than a typical electric âgrindersâ. If youâre reading this review, you probably understand this concept. Yet it cannot be overstated here. You will drop beans, or even the device. It comes apart easily everywhere but where you want it to. It turns on and off with an inadvertent passing touch. Impatience will be punished!This device is best used deliberately while in a meditative mindstate. The smell of the grinding beans is a temporary reward. But a superior cup of Joe is the grand prize.

Internal plastic sheared off after only a handful of uses.
Initially, it seemed to work really well. One morning I went to make my pour over and I noticed that the top part was having a hard time sitting on the metal square pin correctly. I did not force it or anything, as I did not want to break it, and it had never done that before. Once I finally got it to sit correctly, the grind was really inconsistent which also wasn’t normal. Upon closer inspection, the plastic holding it together on the inside had sheared off somehow, and it looked like a rubberband was broken on the inside as well. It was a bummer.

Purchased for espresso grind. Grinder stalled on all settings but the course grid. Returned same day. UPDATE: vendor took the initiative to contact me and sent an updated version. It worked for the espresso settings. 2023 update: Now that I have used it for a year I am updating the 1 star rating to 4. Reliable, compact, minimum grid setting adequate.

Absolutely amazing I love this grinder!
I am in love with this grinder! It is much quieter than most, and grinds the beans slow, not getting hot like a lot of other grinders. I really like that it turns off automatically when it senses that it is done. I can adjust the coarseness of the grind for what I need, and it holds exactly enough for my morning coffee.

I have been using this almost daily, I don’t mind the slow grinding because it’s automatic & most importantly it can be adjusted to the finest grind which worked so well for espresso shots!

Wasnât sure what to expect but overall pleased. Beautifully designed and easy to use, store, and clean (itâs a U.S/China voltage/plug point , so youâll need a converter if elsewhere). The finest setting is ideal for Moka pot/stovetop espresso, to give you an idea of grind quality. I have a bean subscription so it changes often, one type got stuck and I had to literally grind the portion in tiny handfuls and stop several times when it got stuck. Otherwise perfect with 3 other varieties Iâve tried so far. Ideal for travelling, so pleased I can enjoy my lovely coffee even away from home. Overall a very good buy- would recommend if you want a ceramic burr and have limited space (where I am, the only ceramic burr grinders available are larger countertop models).
