    Works great
This being grinder is perfect for me, I’ve used it several times. It, of course, took some experimentation to figure out which grind level works for me, and for my French press, I had to use a different setting than the lid recommends. But the buttons work great, and, the grinder works fast. You can set the time limit, how many cups you want to grind, and the coarseness. It holds a lot of beans. The filter holder is removable so you can place any sort of compartment below. I would recommend this if you’re looking for a nice entry-level electric grinder.

The best for grinding coffee, it has a perfect size, you can put it anywhere, it doesn’t take up much space.

It is unnecessarily large, two large for small kitchen with limited counterspace
This is a really nice coffee grinder! There is a learning curve involved in using it, so it’ll take several tries to get it exactly the way you like it. The first time I used it I had set it to grind for too long, so it came out a lot finer then it needed to be, and water kept dripping over the top edge of the coffee grinds container in my coffee maker. It was like I had put espresso in my coffee machine. That has happened before when I intentionally put espresso in my drip coffee maker because I ran out of regular coffee and did not feel like fooling with my espresso machine. It was then that I found out that the two coffees are not interchangeable (drip coffee with espresso coffee). So when the same thing was happening, I knew immediately that I had ground the coffee too long and too fine. So that was an easy enough adjustment to make with my next cup. I also do not like the fact that your minimum setting is for 2 cups worth of coffee. That’s bad news if you’re the only coffee drinker in the house. And that also adds to the adjustments you’ll have to make with your grinding time and grinding number. I like the signal at the end of the cycle, it reminds you that it’s finished grinding. This machine is very sleek and modern looking, and looks great in a modern kitchen, but it is large. It seems way too large for the fact that it only does the one thing. I could accept its size if it ground the coffee and then made the coffee after. I’ve seen those machines with a grinding mechanism on the top and the coffee is ground and it goes straight into the cup and starts making your coffee, assuming that you’ve already put the water in there. This coffee grinder is the same or almost the same size as one of those machines, so I don’t understand why it has to be so dang big when all it does is grind the beans. If you’re short on counter space like I am, size matters! im jus sayin…

    Mostly positive
Once you start to grind coffee beans, it is tough to go back to pre-ground coffee. We have been grinding coffee for years, and my kids turn up their noses when I accidentally bring in a bag of ground coffee. When you grind your beans, the coffee smells and tastes better. The best way to grind coffee (according to the experts) is to use a burr grinder, which this unit is. It is very sturdy and heavyweight and also looks good. You can adjust the grind size by twisting a collar on the hopper. The hopper could be bigger, but that is a minor issue. There is a little portafilter cup for expresso makers, but we drink regular coffee here, and our coffee maker is 8 cups. You can easily set the number of cups on the machine, but you will need to supply your own catcher–I used the filter basket with good results. The grinder is noisy but quieter than others that I have used. The grind consistency was excellent. The machine works well. I would have liked it if there was a supplied container for the ground coffee beyond the small portafilter one. However, this appears to be a quality machine, and it is pretty easy to find a little bowl or to just use the filter basket as I did.

The Perfect Addition to my Office Coffee Bar
I have absolutely no complaints about this grinder. It works much better than my home grinder that cost twice as much. One of my coworkers and I set up an office espresso bar behind our desk and this fantastic grinder makes the perfect addition. It was nicely packaged and a breeze to set up. One of the features I like the most about this grinder is the ability to set a grind time. This allowed us to dial in the perfect grind time for our machine’s double espresso portafilter so there are no wasted grinds. I was initially using the portafilter holder which worked great when I used a dosing funnel. I switched to using the dosing cup that was included with the grinder when I found that it perfectly fit the portafilter. Grind into the cup, put the portafilter on top of it upside down, flip it and give it a couple firm taps, and viola -perfectly level grinds ready for tamping. The grinder offers a very wide range of settings from coarse to fine. I personally found that between 8 and 6 produces the perfect pour for our espresso machine. This machine appears to be very well made and has a nice heavy feel to it. It is also very attractive with it’s nice stainless steel finish and easy to read blue digital display. The one thing I wish it included is a bellows gasket that allows you to force out any remaining grounds. this is only a minor complaint though and not worth docking a star since I like this grinder so much.
