Not the most robust coffee, but a good value
It’s not the most flavorful coffee. The product packaging grades the coffee a four on a scale of five from light to dark. I find it far milder than four or five with other brands. But, at the price, I can add a couple more scoops and still save a lot. It’s worth a try.

Very Tasty and heart palpitations stopped
Recently I had to reduce my caffeine as it was causing heart palpitations. I decided to try a half-caffeinated coffee. Community coffee tastes great and since I switched, I am no longer having palpitations. One of the best things is Community Decaffeinated coffee uses the Swiss process and not the chemical process to decaffeinate the coffee, so I feel good about drinking it. It is a blend of roasted beans from South American and Africa, so it has a full body flavor. A regular cup of coffee has about 95mg of caffeine, but the half -caff has about 50mg. If in the future the half caffeine starts causing issues, then I will switch to decaffeinated coffee, but hopefully I will not have to give up coffee altogether because I love the taste of it! Hope this helps

Great flavor and decaf
I am a coffee snob. I do not make a full pot of this coffee by itself but blend it with other beans I have bought. Several scoops per pot smooths the flavor of the other beans and adds a depth to the flavor. I know it is the chicory, but this is a nice way to add the chicory into your pot and reduce caffeine.

Taste is ok, and good value, but weak for a medium dark roast
This is a good value for someone who doesn’t need or want a stronger more robust coffee. I expected with the name being Cafe Special Medium Dark Roast, that it would be a little stronger, bolder coffee flavor. Compared to Maxwell House medium Decaf, it actually takes more coffee to get similar strength coffee taste. I used seven heaping tablespoons to make five 6 oz cups of coffee, and it tasted pretty weak. I am still experimenting, but even if I get a decent cup of coffee with say 3 or more heaping tablespoons per cup, that will not be a good value at that point. Again, if you like a lighter roast or breakfast blend decaf, this may be a good value & a good coffee for you, but I need a much stronger, more robust coffee flavor.

Good taste, butâ¦
The fines from this bag of coffee clogged my paper filters and caused grounds to fall into the carafe while brewing.

Great Coffee
I lived in Louisiana for 20 years and everyone drinks Community Coffee. My office was across the street from the processing plant, and on mornings when they were roasting coffee beans the aroma alone would wake me up.I’m back in my home state again and CC isn’t so easy to find, and when I do it isn’t cheap. Amazon delivers big on this one.I have high BP and need to watch my caffeine intake and switched to this half caf about 2 years ago. I really like it but I do wish they made this available in k-kups. If they do I haven’t found any.Flavor is very subjective. I would describe it as rich, smooth, full bodied, and coffee-coffee-coffee-coffee-coffee, without the bitterness. Try Community Coffee with chicory if you want bitter. Personally, I’d rather boil tree bark. This is smooth
