AHOMSEL Cold Brew Coffee Maker Jar
I never could figure out why my dad drank coffee all day. Heck, now I drink it all day myself and I *still* can’t figure out why!Anyway, except in the colder months, I really do prefer iced coffee, but it’s kind of a pain to make because it starts hot. Unless you have one (or two of these). It reminds me of when I was a youngster and my mother would make “sun tea” by putting the bags into a clear pitcher and letting it steep on the porch.Same principal with this- put the coffee in the filter, and allow it to steep. Coffee without have to heat it up. I love it, the SO loves it, and now I can have my iced coffee the easy way.Pros:- Sturdy glass with easy to read markings.- Stainless steel filter insert.- Nice pour handle/spout.Cons:- None so far.Overall, quite happy with this.

Not recommended.
The lids not fit well even after 15 minutes trying to screw one on. Then check very very carefully before lifting because you may think it’s on firmly but it may not be. Could get messy! Very disappointed.

Nice large coffee cold brew container, works for spices/teas also.
This cold brew jar is large enough for big brews. The internal strainer is nicely constructed and fine mesh. The lid has a loop it seems hinged with the lid. I was able to screw this lid on a Mason jar also, but it was a snug fit, as the threading is the same, just not exact like standard mason jar threads. It’s also great for teas and even straining off spices from liquids as well.

Non-Standard Mason Jar?
This kit is very good on its own.There is a silicone gasket on the infuser. It appears to make the seal better, allows the infuser to sit firmly in place, and avoids the unpleasant metal on glass sound. Not all kits like this have a gasket on the infuser.However, the jar does not appear to be a standard mason jar? The pouring lid is not easily interchangeable with other mason jars I have. This seems to be fairly common with these kits. I tested the lid with Ball brand 64oz and 16oz jars – alignment of the threads is off enough to make it difficult to screw the lid on, if at all. The lid DOES work, though, with the ‘non-Ball’ brand mason jars I have. Weird.

Perfect for prepping
We had a smaller version of this and it worked well but didnât make enough coffee for us. We love that we can use this to make a large batch of concentrate and then use it through your the week. The strainer is super fine so none of the grinds get mixed into the coffee weâre drinking

This is perfect! The strainer inside is durable and well made. The glass container itself is hefty without rough spots. It comes with a brush to clean it as well. Perfect for cold brewing or even using tea! Absolutely love this!

Not fully functional
It does work making iced coffee. The glass is thick and the filter is well made. The downside is the lid handle spout combo needs to be lined up just right to screw it on or it will screw on crooked. The thumb piece to open the spout was non functional on arrival so you need to pull the spout up while holding down the jar with a lot of force to open the spout. I donât know if itâs just a bad design or if it was broken but I did not see any broken pieces of plastic in the box so maybe a manufacturing defect.That inconvenience makes me not want to use the product.
