We loved the ease of our “K-Cup compatible” brewer, but hated:
The amount of plastic waste The high cost of pods The limited variety of coffee The mediocre taste of the coffee Concern about plastic in the coffee
But it made us wonder… How big of a problem is coffee pod waste, actually?
It turns out: In 2023, over 17B “K-Cup Compatible” pods were sold.. Enough to circle earth nearly 20 times!
So, we tried a “Reusable Pod”. Let’s just say, it wasn’t the best experience.
We had to share our idea. We launched a Kickstarter on Earth Day 2021, selling 4,000 units in 30 days.
Enhance your single-serve coffee experience with Savepod and never look back.

“If just 6% of current plastic pod users switched to savepod, we’d save more than 1 BILLION coffee pods from being wasted each year.”

What type of coffee could I use with savepod?
You can use ANY ground coffee your heart desires. That’s the beauty of savepod! Almost all pre-ground coffee will work well, medium – medium/fine grind size works best
Don’t refillable & reusable pods already exist?
Yes, refillable pods exist, but they require messy cleanup, leading most users back to single-use pods. Since their introduction, single-use pod sales have only risen. If refillable pods were a true solution, sales would’ve dropped. Our mission is to make your experience so great, you won’t want to use single-use coffee pods again.
COFFEE PODS MAKER: Introducing Savepod—the new standard in single-serve brewing. This coffee pod system makes truly Earth-friendly pods in seconds! Our coffee pods are 100% compostable with the only waste being our paper filter and used coffee. Not compatible with Ninja or Nespresso
HOW IT WORKS: Savepod sits beside your single serve coffee maker, with everything you need to make a fresh pod. Fill a pod with any coffee then place inside your single serve brewer. After brewing, simply open the reusable ring to dump out the waste. Savepod is compatible with all K Cup 1.0, 2.0 and K Supreme brewers.
QUALITY COFFEE MAKER: Drink quality coffee while eliminating plastic waste with Savepod. Our coffee filters are made from eco-conscious materials that don’t compromise taste or quality. Fill them with any fresh coffee of choice and enjoy.
EASY CLEAN UP: Say goodbye to cleaning up those messy reusable coffee pods! After brewing simply pop open the reusable ring that’s attached to your Savepod and 100% compostable waste falls out. Each reusable ring is made from food-grade materials and is dishwasher safe.
DURABLE AND EFFICIENT: Made from durable, BPA-free materials, Savepod is designed to last for years. It’ll save you 80% compared to pre-filled single serve coffee pods and each bundle includes one pod maker, two reusable rings (1-hole & 5-hole), 100 coffee filters, plus a custom, quality coffee scoop!
Customers say
Customers appreciate the coffee filter’s design and ease of use. They find it well-thought-out and functional. The filter works as promised, allowing them to use any coffee they want. Customers also appreciate its eco-friendly and reusable design. However, some customers have mixed opinions on value for money, functionality, and fit.

Best Tasting cup from a Keurig
I canât believe this coffee came out of a Keurig, thatâs how good it is. I freshly grind my coffee beans and put 2 scoops into a savepod, and it tasted so good! Fresh, smooth, and balanced. Next, savepod is super easy to use and very well thought out. It is not only super convenient, because there is no cleanup, unlike other reusable pods, but it also will save me money now that I donât have to buy K-Cups. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone who has a Keurig, this is my new favorite way to make single serve coffee.

MUST HAVE for all Keurig Users!!!
For anyone who has a Keurig you will LOVE this product!! This is the 2nd one Iâm ordering so I have one for my house and one for my office.I used to use the refillable k cups but they were so annoying to clean and would get kind of gross after a few weeks. These are the things I love about Savepod:1. Effortless cleanup. After brewing you open the ring and the paper filter and used coffee grounds pop right out.2. I donât feel guilty about the waste like I did with K-Cups. The waste here is 100% compostable3. The podmaker holds everything I need to make a pod very elegantly next to my brewer. My ground coffee in an airtight drawer, a stack of 50 filters, the reusable rings, and a super nice stainless steel scooper made just for savepods.4. I get a clean and sanitary fresh filter each brew and I know itâs not passing through a reusable metal mesh filter.5. The coffee tastes SO GOOD. It doesnât taste like âkeurigâ coffee but like proper drip coffee.I highly recommend savepod and will be gifting it to all the coffee drinkers in my life this holiday season!!

Chintzy, ineffective product
The SavePod device comes with three different âringsâ that hold the disposable filter, ostensibly to accommodate different coffee brewing machines (although the instructions provide no guidance on which rings go with which machines). None of them fits the Keurig K-Supreme Plus. When brewing with this device, hot coffee dribbles out of the filter, splashing the countertop and making a mess that obviates any perceived advantage over the reusable pod that comes with the K-Supreme Plus brewer. The construction of this device is cheap and not worth the price. I would estimate that the total cost of this item is probably between 2 and 3 dollars, and its quality reflects it.I canât return this thing fast enough.

Love that I’m not adding to plastic waste
I really like the design, ease of use. The paper filters split at the bottom of every cup I made until I started using two filters at a time. Its a little tougher to close the pod adapter but no more coffee grounds in my cup! If you’re getting grounds each time, just double up on those paper filters. The paper used can definitely be improved. It doesn’t make a mess making my own pods either. However, the unit was smaller than I expected. The price is a bit high considering it’s just a plastic box with some pod adapters.

All Keurig users should get one!
So, Iâve used a Keurig for years now. I love the convenience, but I was never crazy about the taste. I also felt bad about the plastic waste, and I also felt like I was wasting money on expensive pods. Because of this, I tried the refillable pods. I used those for a bit, but really hated the cleanup.. Also, after some time, the reusable pods got really dirty and kind of grossed me out.I discovered Savepod on the new Prime Video show âBuy It Nowâ & boy and I glad I did! Iâve been using it for a couple days now and I LOVE IT. Savepod solved the problem of taste, the coffee tastes AMAZING. I use my favorite grounds and the coffee tastes so fresh. Next, it solved the problem of plastic waste, now all I throw away is a compostable filter. Finally, it saves me money because I no longer need to buy overpriced pods! I am so happy I got this.

Didn’t fit my machine
I’m giving it 3 stars because the pods didn’t fit in my machine. I have one of those water machines with a Keurig built in. Well, the pods didn’t fit. Super cool idea, though.

Great idea, but ended up being a disaster for me
I love the concept of reusable pods, since I usually only use ground coffee and the French press sometimes is more work than I want in the morning. I saw the ad for this like everyone else did and even though it was pretty pricey, I thought I’d give it a try.Oh man. I have an Instant Pod K-cup/Nespresso machine, and it just wasn’t a good fit. The top didn’t want to close on it very easily, and the filter would split open about 80% of the time, which means (a) my coffee and syrup was wasted, and (b) now I’m spending 20 minutes flushing out the machine. Ugh. What a mess. I gave it the real college try, I’ve tried it with different fill levels and different grinds over the previous two months. No luck. So, I took it to my single-cup Keurig/ground coffee machine and it did the exact same thing, except this machine didn’t even want to close. The filter ring is thin – but still too thick – and I had to hold the lid down to activate the “lid closed” switch. At least this machine was easier to clean when it blew the filter.Speaking of the filter ring, it isn’t very confidence-inspiring when it comes to durability. I know it has to be thin, so no hate for that, and they have stayed together so I guess that’s about all you can expect.I see this is not even available for sale now and I think I know why, except now I’m stuck with it. I reallllllly wanted this to work. I did give it a 2nd star because it’s a good concept, but meh.

Better than K-Cups
I purchased this product because I like to use fresh ground coffee without additional plastic K-Cup pods or using the metal ones which burn your fingers. The pod lid makes it easy to place the filter paper in then add just the right amount of freshly ground coffee to my likings.
