Nice subtle addition to kitchen counter
I have a small kitchen so big dish drainers are not an option. I usually buy the mats that are little more than glorified towels. They are ok but they get messy fast. These mats are a game changer. They blend well with the counters so, when not in use they donât make the countertop look crowded. They absorb like a dream and dry quickly.There was only one small hiccup and that came from a guest who was visually impaired. They were helping me clean the kitchen and I noticed they were scrubbing at the counter. I looked over and they saw part of the marble design on the mat as a stain on the counter and were trying to wipe it off. I showed them that it was a design on the mat and we laughed about it. After that, Iâve noticed how a darker printed spot on the mat does tend to catch my peripheral vision every now and then, but since my friend found it first I know itâs just part of the design.

Keeps countertop clean and dry
I got this to sit our coffee cups on in the morning to keep my countertop dry and clean. I love the way it goes with my decor and it is the perfect size for the space I needed to put it! It looks just like the photo and I feel it is well worth the money to keep my countertop free of stains!

Tidied kitchen, but does sometimes need to be aired out from underneath
This mixed diatomite and TPU mat is very pretty and helps give my kitchen a cleaner look. However, it does sometimes need to be flipped over and have underneath it wiped of moisture if there’s too much at once for it to hold until it evaporates before being used again. I have only had to do this about once a week (maybe twice if I’m making a mess) and its kept on the side of the sink I keep dirty dishes on; and because the inside is diatomite and outermost layers can be wiped clean, I haven’t had to worry about any staining so far of the material. This mat was the perfect size and function for what I needed it.
I did a partial remodel of my kitchen In 2011. The only major appliance I replaced was the stove oven and the overhead microwave. The overhead microwave also serves as the vent for the stove and the oven. I was attempting to heat up some sandwiches this weekend and unfortunately they weren’t heating up. Overhead vent still worked the convection part of the microwave oven still work And the control still worked. The problem was there were no microwaves coming out to cook the food. After a little research online I discovered there are 3 things that can be causing this and in my case it’s probably the worst of the 3. It’s not likely the fuse or the diode. I surmised it’s more likely the magnetron the main function to produce The microwaves. For cheap microwaves this is something you don’t bother replacing you just replace the entire microwave. This microwave was very expensive so it somewhat made sense to have it repaired except the problem was this would cost several hundred dollars because it would have to be removed opened and the repair cost would be fairly high Even without the price of the parts. I realize we’re pretty far into the review here I realize we’re pretty far into the review here without mentioning why I got a mat like this but my solution was not to repair the microwave since it still works as a vent but I still need a microwave. So on Amazon I purchased an inexpensive small microwave. For convenience I use a large countertop air oven with many different functions. It’s made out of stainless steel so it will support Something on top of it. After taking some measurements the small microwave I got would fit perfectly on top I just didn’t want it to slip off. Well I had to pay for the microwave directly the mat was another story because I looked around the vine to see what I could find. The size of this one was perfect. It was made for a kitchen mat although for more typically around a coffee maker. I spotted the thing I was looking for despite the actual size and that was it said it’s heat resistant. Since it’s going to sit on top of a stainless steel air oven that tends to get hot when it’s heating things I didn’t want the mat to melt. Both the mad and the microwave arrived yesterday late And the 1st thing I did is unroll the mat then place it on top of the air oven. There was about an inch overlap on either side But it didn’t cover any of the heating output vents so it was fine. The depth of the mat fit perfectly with no overlap at all. I placed the microwave on top and my measurements were correct so it was indeed a perfect fit. I use the air oven underneath to bake some potatoes for a few hours and the microwave to heat up some fettuccine Alfredo. In the end there was no damage to the mat The microwave was perfect it didn’t slip at all and so I’m definitely happy with the purchase. Recommended.
