not really dark grey
I was really hoping these would be the same color as the photo; I rely on the accuracy of item photos to coordinate items in my home, but unfortunately this one is a big disappointment. Unlike the photos, the mats themselves are a regular grey – like the color of a clean elephant (it kinda looks exactly like elephant skin tbh). It looks very out of place amongst the darker grey and black decor. That’s the reason for the lower rating; the reason it isn’t a worse rating is the practical aspects. They feel durable and thick; the quality is good for my needs (thick placemats for coffee table) although I can’t leave them out all the time due to the color issue, and they seem like the size, quality, and material will hold up to many meals and drink condensation and little spills. They came rolled up thankfully with the “up” side out, so once unrolled and placed flat, it kinda holds itself there without the edges curling up outward (if it was rolled the other way, they would have to be manually flattened to get rid of the curling edges otherwise they’d be unusable). They have a nice weight to them and definitely won’t slip off any surface. I am not sure about stains yet, as the color is too light for my comfort and I don’t have much hope, but again they won’t be out all the time, just protection for meals and drinks. Overall, I’m bummed about the color but will probably begrudgingly use them until something better comes along.

Coffee Pads
These are well put together mats. We are using them as craft pads on desks and they work great at staying in place. Itâs a really nice, soft, smooth surface. They are a great size for this application. Love that theyâre absorbent too, as some of our projects are wet and messy. I will probably use them as extras dish drying space on occasion as well.

I love these mats
These mats are well made and they will lay flat right out of the box. I got a two pack, one for the coffee station and one for the cat’s food and water. I love that you can cut these to size without them falling apart or looking like they were cut. They absorb liquid faster than I can go get a paper towel, no more coffee dripping down to my floor! I am going to buy more of these for my dish drying area and dog water bowls. Very versatile and with the dark color they don’t look dirty after dripping various liquids on them. Highly recommend.

Quick wipe and its clean!!!
I wasnât sure what to expect from these mats, but wowâwhat a game-changer! In my assisted living home, about six residents make coffee every morning, which usually means a constant mess. Before these mats, I had to wipe up spills after nearly every cup. Now, I barely notice the mess because the mats absorb everything so well. The coffee spills donât stain, and if I canât get to it right away, I can leave it for a day or two without worrying.Cleaning is effortlessâI usually toss the mat in with a light load of kitchen towels at the end of the day. It washes well and even holds up in the dryer, though I prefer to hang dry it just to prolong its lifespan. The anti-slip backing is excellent; it stays put without shifting, even with frequent use.When the mats arrived, they were rolled up, but I just laid them flat overnight, and by morning, they were ready to goâno creases, no issues. I also appreciated that there was no strong chemical odor, so I didnât have to wash them before first use. A quick wipe with a damp cloth keeps them looking nearly brand new.Highly recommend.

Absorbs well
These are made of a porous rubber material that is supposed to absorb water or other liquids so you don’t need to wipe them up. I tested the “10 seconds quick dry” feature. It does absorb water really well!I was hoping to use these below dish drying racks in the kitchen (the listing specifically has “dish drying mat” as one of the uses). They would work for that but I decided to go with microfiber drying mats instead. After testing this a few more times I am really impressed by the absorption so I’m going to use this on the kitchen counter where I pour a water jug from the fridge into a glass so I never have to wipe up water on the counter again.There definitely is a smell to these. I left them in the garage for a few days to air out. It was better but there is still a faint rubber smell to them (since they *are* rubber). It’s probably not a big deal to most people.

Almost like Magic!
I’m really pleased with these mats! Let me tell you why:* Flat – I was so pleased that they went flat after unrolling them. They “relaxed” after having them set on the countertop for a very short time.* Absorbent – That is why I put “like Magic” in my review title. I purposely spilled a little water on the mat and then wiped it up right away. I could not even see where it had been. Then I spilled the same amount of water and walked away. When I came back after a few minutes – there was not a trace!* Thin – I measured these at about 1/8″ thick. That is just what I was looking for – I didn’t want an edge or a tray around the edge.* They stay put – the rubber bottom “sticks” to the countertop, so they are not sliding around – they stay where you put them.* They can be cut to size – I’m going to use one of them just as it, but I’m going to trim one of them down to fit a space I have.* Little or No Odor – The listing states that there may be some rubber odor, it was minimal and disappeared over a few days. I did not try washing them to eliminate it – did not seem necessary.One reviewer commented that the gray color was not as shown in the Amazon listing – I would say that it’s a good match. In my attached picture, it looks lighter than they actually appear. I would say the gray color is as shown in the listing.Totally pleased with these – 5 Stars. I’m going to order another set of these to put on some wooden shelves where I keep some house plants. I occasionally spill a bit when I water them – I won’t have to worry about wiping that up with these mats protecting the wood.
