Good Measuring Scoops
Well, they are measuring scoops. Described as coffee-ground measuring scoops, and that’s the reason I got them in the first place, but I normally make just one cup of coffee, and it depends from one day to another if I make a small cup (6 grams of coffee) or medium or large (8 grams of coffee). So in that sense, it’s easier for me to use the kitchen scale and get exactly how much coffee I want for the day.But the scoops look nice and can be used for measuring absolutely anything. From oil to sugar to whatever the recipe calls for. Can’t really find anything to dislike – other than I don’t have a place to hang them and they are a bit bulky to store with the silverware. Since most kitchens are larger than mine, even that’s not a negative. Seems like good quality stainless steel, I’ve rinsed them a few times and they’re OK.

Beautiful Scoop
Beautiful stainless scoop. Metal work looks great with clear lasered labeling on the size. Securely attached to wood handle, feels very sturdy. Ferrule is just a bit smaller than the wood and there is a slight ridge at the transition. My handle has several scratches and some dents in the wood on the endgrain. The wood has significant tear out along the bottom, looks like there is a bit of a curl in the wood grain, which should be beautiful when sanded properly. I will likely sand the whole thing to prevent any finish differences. I can see at the hang hole that the wood inside the hole is unfinished and a much lighter color. To my eye at least this does appear to be black walnut wood instead of just a cheap jungle wood stained brown.

Nice quality measuring spoons
This is a very nice, quality pair of measuring spoons/scoops. I ordered the set of two with 1 tablespoon and 2 tablespoons size. Sure, I have plenty of cheap plastic scoops that came with some container or coffee grinder or something, but these are so much nicer and really not all that expensive.Nicely formed stainless steel scoops with a good sized wooden handle. No blemishes on the wood and both were almost the exact same color. Feels like thereâs some sort of finish on the wood, perhaps some sort of surface polyurethane finish? I do always coat any wooden items used in the kitchen with food safe mineral oil. I wiped some mineral oil on these, although honestly donât know if it took it or not. Regardless, I will treat these as any other wooden items and always hand wash if needed. I donât put wooden items in a dishwasher.Iâm using the larger one for coffee beans and the smaller is used for tea leaves. They look good sitting out with all of the other tea and coffee paraphernalia I have on the kitchen counter.Certainly could recommend these measuring spoons. Likely will outlast me, looks good and reasonably priced.

cute
so these are really cute, yes. there is no measurement written or engraved on these, and the handles feel very light weight and do not have a thick/nice layer of clear protectant on the handles.

Nice Quality, perfect for Coffee
I get some very consistent coffee strength by measuring out my grounds with these scoops. The stainless steel scoops are very nicely machined and the wooden handles are solid feeling and tightly fixed. The volume of the scoops is clearly etched in the stainless steel in both metric and imperial. These scoops are exactly what I was looking for to get consistent coffee ground measurements. I’m a little bit of a coffee snob and I do like stronger coffee in the morning, and weaker decaf in the evening. These scoops help me measure out the perfect amount of grounds whether I’m making a pot in the morning, or one cup in the evening.

Consistent Results Every Time
After purchasing my Expresso maker I turned into a coffee snob. Not sure it that it makes a real difference in the results of my lattes and capuchinos but it sure as heck impresses my friends. With this 2 T coffee scoop one level portion is 12-15 g, just the right amount of grounds to completely fill my portafilter and prepare 60 ml of espresso, a double shot, perfect for one serving.I am sure that 1 gram more or less wouldn’t be noticeable but nevertheless this scoop is attractive and beats the heck out of the plastic one that came with my machine. It is a perfect addition to my set of espresso tools.
