worth the special purchase
I bought this set of #1 cone filters to go with my SOTO Compact Helix Coffee maker. I could have bought more readily available filters at the store and tried to tweak them, but these fit in nicely and the fact that the bottom is conical helps the filter to stay in place during pour over.

A Good Deal
I tried these filters because of the price and like them. The paper is of a lighter weight than the Melita brand but I find that an advantage because they don’t overflow as easily as Melita filters. They have a triangular bottom that requires folding to make it fit properly in the coffee-maker filter holder but that is no problem.

Pretty good, seam separates with pressure
Good overall. I use them to line my pour over coffee maker to keep the grounds contained and easier to compost. I wish they were just about 1/4 to 1/2 inch taller. In the morning, I have one large mug of coffee (about 10-12 oz brewed coffee), not multiple smaller mugs. Because of this, I use more coffee grounds than is maybe intended to go in a filter this size. About two ‘coffee scoops” aka 4 Tbs of grounds. When I pour in the water, the grounds rise up above the top of the paper filter so the pour over device gets grounds on it. That’s not too big of an issue. My reason for only four stars is that the seam opens if pressure is applied, so instead of squeezing the excess liquid out like I used to when using other filters, I just let the used filter/grounds dry out on a plate of the counter before putting them in the compost.

Small and thin. Not worth saving a few bucks
These filters are just a little too small to cover my filter holder so if I overfill, the grounds run down between the filter and the holder into the cup. They are also quite thin so the coffee drains quickly which I think is affecting the flavor (it would be better if the coffee drained more slowly). Not worth saving a few bucks over the name brand. I won’t be buying them again.

Nice filters
These are working nicely with my new pourover coffee funnel. I will look for these again in the future, depending on the price. The only suggestion I would make for improvement would be to alternate each grab tab position on the filter with the next one so that the user only âgrabsâ one filter at a time.
