This didn’t work like how I had envisioned. In fact, it hardly worked at all. I was wanting to create powder art on the coffees I brew. I used cocoa and well I guess my cocoa powder was too fine? Because hardly any of the powder sprinkled out. It wouldn’t come out through the holes (opening). It didn’t specify in any of the instructions the level of grind. I haven’t tried any other powders in it but I may use it for salt or pepper hoping it’ll work out because it is a cute neat dispenser.

It is a cute dolphin. It comes with a stencil including a large heart and clover, and a little spoon, with tiny heart stencils on the handle. The stencils are nice, and I will likely find other uses for them, so that is the only thing pulling the rating up to two stars (poor). It will only handle a few consistencies of powders, nothing too fine or too course. I put a little pepper (one of the suggested items in the manual) in it to test it out. It failed abysmally. The pepper scattered before it even hit the dish, so it looked like I just sprinkled pepper at random. The stencil made no difference. I had the dolphin mouth closed, so this was supposed to be the way to do fine details. The manual has one page of poorly worded English. It contradicts the online product description page, specifically on using flour. Overall, this seems like a poor execution of a good concept. Maybe it will work better with a different substance in it, but I was not impressed.

E’ vero che nella descrizione e nelle immagini di pubblicità viene indicato che non è adatto a cacao superfine ma avere una penna del genere per poterla usare solo con spezie che in genere non si usano è un pò inutile, almeno per l’uso che ne avrei fatto io.Ho provato anche con zucchero senza successo…In genere non lo faccio, ma in questo caso prima di dare un voto così negativo ho voluto smontarlo e vedere perchè non funzionava. Ho notato che l’unico meccanismo che dovrebbe far scendere e spargere il contenuto è un ferretto che ruota e crea una piccola vibrazione.Pensavo ci fosse qualcosa di ostruito o bloccato invece credo che non possa proprio funzionare così.Anche lavarlo e pulirlo di fatto comporta di bagnare tutto l’interno e il contenuto residuo creando dei grumi che non vanno via se non smontandolo. Tra l’altro l’interno non ha nessun elemento di tenuta per cui lavandolo si bagna facilmente il vano batteria e anche nell’uso tende a sporcarsi tutto facilmente.Sinceramente mi è sembrato uno specchietto per allodole più che un utensile funzionale e carino.Di fatto posso utilizzare solo gli stampini e il cucchiaio in plastica…Peccato perchè l’idea era buona ma la realizzazione non altrettanto.
