What Happened?
We have had this Sumatra for years and kind of use it as our âhouse coffeeâ. This last bag, we didnât finish it.It tasted wrong. Harsh, and didnât taste at all like it has in the past. Inferior beans?I canât figure it out. We tried four different times, cleaned our pot again, mixed it with other beans and only made them taste bad. Sadly, we finally threw them out. What a disappointment.Now to go through trying new ones. Those are well priced when the beans are actually good. Throwing half the bag out – not so much.

A Coffee That Actually Tastes as Good as it Smells
My wife and I are writers, so coffee is very important to us. (Ask any writer how essential coffee is!) This is one of the very best coffees we have ever tried. (We also like organic Mexican Altura, but like this better.) We have been ordering Yirgacheffe through Amazon for several months, and have these good things to say about it: 1)The quality is extremely high, and is CONSISTENTLY high. 2)The beans are always roasted to perfection. 3)It is organic — we try to drink only organic coffee, for taste reasons as well as health reasons. 4)Unlike some coffees, we never get tired of it or bored with it.

Excellent Quality
I have been buying coffee from this company for several years now and it has always been very high quality and very reasonably priced. You could spend a lot more for something not nearly as good. The packaging is also very good. Easy to keep the beans fresh and well protected in the original pouch.

Good everyday coffee
Good Organic SWP Decaf coffee, nothing special here but also nothing to complain about.Made a good espresso, mine is a little on the darker side of medium roast with a light sheen of oils here and there.

If you like mild, flavorful coffee, You will LOVE this!
My wife and I have been buying this coffee for years now. In our collective opinions, this is without a doubt the best tasting, easiest on your stomach (non acidic) coffee money can buy, period. Whenever we drink coffee out or have tried a different coffee at home, we always miss our Sumatra Mandheling. Add to that the awesome customer service that Coffebean Direct provides and you have a solid 1-2 punch. Unbeatable!Highly recommend this coffee and this seller. Both are the BEST!

Low Acid/Smooth Finish/Fair Trade
I was looking for a coffee that has a great taste without additives like cream, flavorings, sugar etc. Basically, a good cup of black coffee. I’ve grown to despise most large commercial coffee house brews out of Canada or Seattle (you know which ones I’m talking about) due to their lack of subtlety and fire-roast-the-heck-out-of-it since most consumers doctor their drink to the point it no longer resembles coffee…more a coffee-flavored frappe.In any event, this Nicaraguan coffee is a winner. Smooth finish, low acid and (shudder) can be nuked if you forget about it and it cools off. Not a recommendation, but a good indicator of residual acids if it becomes bitter.Try it. You’ll like it. A few cups and it convinced me to stop paying for the displeasure of dealing with haughty barristas.
