Velvety, Rich, Dark Sumatran Decaf.
FULL of flavor, full of body, but hardly bitter. Do you like the tannin filled richness in a nice Cab Sauv Red? Or the depth of a dark red sweet cherry? IMO this is the coffee version. I often see various coffee descriptions with “chocolate and or Cherry/berry” etc. but then don’t get what they are saying. I think you’ll actually GET IT ! with this. ( I don’t like flavored coffee BTW, that’s not what I’m talking about). My wife and I indulge in a Cafe Trebol Costa Rican daily roasted at Market Centrale in San Jose (bring some back for me!) and this Sumatran Decafe after dinner. We use pour over method fresh ground almost espresso to extract as much richness as possible. We are completely satisfied with this purchase and will continue. I’d love to hear YOUR thoughts.

Lovely rich flavor
This is my favorite bean to use in my espresso machine. The flavor is rich, almost like a dark chocolate, with just a little bitterness, but not too much. I enjoy my coffee but need to avoid caffeine and after trying many similar beans, this is the one I decided I like best. Iâve made multiple purchases over several years and they have managed to maintain consistency and quality in every batch.

Our house decaf
This has become our “go to” decaf coffee. It mixes well with regular coffees for a reduced caffeine blend and it is excellent on it’s own as an accompaniment to an evening dessert. The low acidity of the coffee helps to prevent the indigestion you can get from other coffees, especially when they accompany a rich dessert. While this is billed as a dark roast, it’s more like a medium dark roast. While it isn’t super flavorful, it is very good for a decaf. The price of all coffee has increased recently but the price of this coffee is fairly reasonable when purchased in the 5-pound bags.

Great tasting decaf
From the minute I opened the bag I knew I was in for a great cup of decaf. Hard to find a decaf that tastes like the real thing. Love this one!

Very tasty coffee
Been buying this coffee for years. Really like the value and consistency.I like the coffee but upset that the bag had a big hole in it. After going through customer service because it wasn’t eligible for return/exchange, I did get a refund.

Good medium roast in an Aero Press, but . . .
In an Aero Press, ground fine, makes an enjoyable cup. I would say this is a medium roast, maybe right on the line between medium and dark. The beans look dark but the ground coffee and flavor is more medium. The flavor out of the Aero Press is mild, with some hints of rich aftertone flavors, not without interest.Note well however, that in a French press or drip maker, for some reason very little flavor comes through and it’s pretty anemic and forgettable, no matter how much grounds you use. I haven’t come across too many coffees that have such different results with these different brewing methods.Thing is, I got it for the French press, whole bean in order to grind it fairly coarse. All the store bought decaf in my area (Southern Cal.) is already ground, just hard to find whole bean decaf. My favorite is Peet’s decafs, some of them are quite excellent, but they grind them into practically powder. This doesn’t work well in a French Press which needs a coarser grind if you hope to be able to press down without a 100lb weight. (A French press is a bit easier if you are making coffee for two or three people, the Aero Press is really a solo cup maker.)So in short for the Aero Press I will probably prefer a darker Peet’s or Starbucks Cafe Verona. However this is a perfectly good choice for a more medium roast if are using an Aero Press.

Wonderful!
My doctor required me to quit caffeinated coffee. This was a terrific replacement for my previous coffee.
