so good as COLD BREW!
This stuff is SO GOOD and definitely the most affordable Jamaican Me Crazy out there.It is delicious hot, but we love this for our COLD BREW coffee! Making it is so easy. Use a very large container and mix ground coffee to with cold water. Our favorite ratio is 4:1 water to coffee (4 cups of water for each cup of coffee) but you can adjust to your liking. Then we let is sit at room temperature for 24-48 hours, stirring occasionally (again, play with the timing to get the strength to your liking). Finally, we use a large french press to strain and pour into a glass container to be stored in the fridge. SO GOOD especially with a splash of SO unsweetened coconut creamer.We use a lot of this at once to make large batches of cold brew, so freshness typically isn’t an issue for us. Though in the past when we were making smaller batches we did notice that flavor changed after a month or so. It became a little stale and a little less coconut-y. Keeping it sealed very tightly usually helps though,

Good coffee for the price
We’ve purchased this coffee from time to time over the years. The cost is low and the large bag lasts a long time. The coffee remains fresh so long as the beans are ground the day of brewing or placed in the freezer until used. We drink black coffee so we prefer some flavor in the beans. This flavor isn’t the best, but good for the cost.

Best Tasting Coffee
Highlander Grog has a well balanced smooth flavor. Fresh ground coffee beans are great anytime.

Coffee in bag is not what the bag says.
I have bought coffee multiple times from Coffee Direct. The last time I bought coffee was for Mother’s Day. My mom only told me recently that the last coffee I gave her said decaf hazelnut on the bags but inside it was a different coffee. Hazelnut has a very distinct smell. I am not even sure how this could happen.

Good Coffee
My order arrived promptly. The Seville Orange flavored beans I ordered make the best Seville Orange cup of coffee/latte that I have ever tasted, and I have tried several brands over the years. Right out of the bag, the beans smell awesome, just a hint of what’s to come! This is the second time that I have ordered the Seville Orange beans from this company only this time I ordered the 5 pound bag! My only wish is for an organic option of this, since I prefer organics when available.

Good Value For Your Money, Good Coffee
I’m not what you would call a fan of strong coffees, and I have a difficult time finding flavors that I like to drink on a daily basis. However, when I had tried Highlander Grogg I was instantly taken by the flavor. I was pleased to find such a large quantity of coffee beans on Amazon for almost half the price of Highlander Grogg in the stores.The flavor isn’t overpowering and it is not a really strong strong coffee. It’s right up my alley, and I enjoy drinking it every day. The bag does come vacuumed sealed for freshness. Due to the large quantity, and my husband not drinking it, I store the beans in the freezer in two separate freezer bags that I have removed the air from as much as possible. I also put them in another bag so they aren’t exposed to light every time you open the freezer door. May sound silly but supposedly this keeps the beans fresh for a longer period of time. I haven’t had any issues with the beans losing their quality of freshness at this point.Overall I think taste is a personal preference, but for the volume of beans you get at the price, and the quality of these beans you, really can’t beat the value for your money.

We have enjoyed this product for years – but with COVID and Coffee Bean Direct not shipping outside of the USA – well we had a big problem. We then found it on Amazon and are back in coffee heaven! You will never be disappointed with Coffee Bean Direct products. Smooth, delicious – nothing compares to it!
