Makes a delicious cup of coffee in no time!
I am a fan! This brewer makes a delicious cup of coffee in no time! The water is fresh for every cup and brews quickly. In addition to the necessity to make a good cup of coffee there are other features that I appreciate. The distance between the cup trip tray and the spout where the coffee comes out is tall enough for travel mugs. The cup drip tray is very easy to remove and replace for cleaning as well as allowing for even more room to accommodate a very tall coffee mug. The grooved back behind where the cup or mug is placed for brewing is easy to wipe clean. The lock lever to secure the k-cup is easy to use. The small footprint of the machine takes up minimal counter space.The only caution I have is this machine will not pump water above a certain elevation due to the change in boiling point of water.

So handy!
We have lots of hospital stays with our critically ill child. This is a lifesaver for me. I donât have to leave the room for coffee especially in the morning waiting for doctor rounds. It works really well. Takes a bit to heat up ( not overly long, just longer than home Keurig) but it come out hot! You add the amount of water you want so can easily adjust the strength. Been using it 6 months with no problem.

Ease of use
Very good coffee maker for K cup and ground coffee. I, also use it to heat water for my tea bags and hot cocoa. Works great every time.

Compact and relatively low power draw
The primary reason I bought this was for use on our boat. We have a 12vDC/120vAC inverster on board. When at anchor, we like to be able to make coffee without having to start up the generator. Most Keurig pod coffee makers have a larger power draw when heating up. This CHULUX does not. The max power draw is 800watts which while still a lot when running off a 12v inverter, it is much less than most.As such, it does take longer to make a cup of coffee as the heating element will cycle a few times while getting the brew water up to temperature. I don’t mind the wait if it means that I can make my morning coffee to watch the sun come up without disturbing my sleeping wife by starting the generator. After all the two most important things in life are morning coffee, and a happy spouse.The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that the cup tray is just a tad shallow. I’d prefer if the tray came out another 1/2″ to give more support for a wide cup.

Leaks water
Very disappointed with this newly purchased Chulux coffee maker. I make one cup of coffee every morning. Today is Thanksgiving morning. I put water in, coffee pod and pushed the start button. It went through the heating process but instead of the water coming through to the cup, it poured out the bottom all over my counter. After reading the reviews, thoroughly, I see many people reporting this issue with this product. So, I just purchased a tried and true Keurig.

It works but it is 3 times slower than comparable Keurig and hard to clean
Comparison test with Keurig K-Express: Both coffee makers were filled with 40 degree chilled filtered water from my fridge. Making an 8 oz cup of coffee, the Chulux starts brewing 2 minutes 50 seconds after pushing the button and finishes brewing at 3 minutes 45 seconds. The temperature of the brewed cup is 165 degrees F. The Keurig starts brewing 10 seconds after pushing the button and finishes brewing at one minutes 20 seconds. The temperature of the brewed cup is also 165 degrees. One difference between the two is that the Chulux does not have a tank – you fill it with water from your mug for each use, while the Keurig K-Express has a 42 oz water tank. However, I don’t think that makes a difference in brewing speed. The big issue for me is when the family is home for the holidays, if we had 5 people who needed a cup of coffee, that would take 19 minutes with the Chulux vs. 7 minutes for the Keurig.About the hard to clean comment, the pocket that the K-cup sits in can be removed from the Keurig so it can be washed with soap. On the Chulux, this pocket is molded into the top of the coffee maker and so to wash it I would have to take the whole coffee maker over to the sink and wash it carefully without getting soapy water in any of the wrong areas (like the bin where you pour the water which is adjacent to the K-cup pocket).The Keurig I’m keeping and the Chulux is going to Goodwill.

Love it
We use this daily. When comparing it to a kurieg, it does take a long time to hear water. We don’t mind, we do something else while it heats up the water. It’s plenty hot for tea and coffee.
