Has been working great with no issues since Jan. 2019
Likes: small, easy to use, easy to clean, price is great, looks nice on the counter, not loud, drip plate doesnât rust, shuts off after each cup and quickly starts back up when you want another cup, makes a cup at a time, has worked great for over 5 years and counting!!!! Cons: not the best for parties if everyone wants coffee at the same time, but no different than any other single serve. Not sure how hot it gets one way or another but I think it gets hot enough as I usually add cold water or ice so I can drink mydrink a little faster.I used to buy Keurigs every year but this little inexpensive item has worked amazingly well almost 6 years now, and I use it multiple times a day!

Love it. But here is my WISH LIST for the perfect Chulux.
This Chulux is a nice simple machine that does the job without a bunch of complicated features. And from the reviews it appears it is fairly durable. When my Chulux arrived I ran about 10 cups of water thru it, and then made a few cups of coffee with K Pods. and it worked perfectly. So I rate this compact little machine 5 Stars. My WISH LIST: I wish Chulux made a similar machine that was 2 inches taller so it would fit normal travel mugs, and i also wish that it had a “Strong” or “Bold” button so I could brew a large mug of coffee that was not weak. The ideal machine (for me at least) would be similar to the “Keurig K-Mini Plus”. That machine is high enough to fit the tallest mugs, and it has a “Bold” button so you avoid weak coffee when using larger mugs. The K-Mini can brew up to 12 oz at a time (while this Chulux only does 10 oz max). So why didn’t I buy the K-Mini? Actually, I did buy one, and it failed after making two cups of coffee. In looking at the reviews, nearly a third of them got only 1 star reviews due to failures. When I ordered mine I has hoping I would be one of the lucky ones who got a good machine, but that didn’t happen. So back to Amazon it went.Anyway, the Chulux will be fine for my RV after I get a couple of shorter travel mugs to use with it.

Comparision between 800w solid color Chulux and 1000w stainless model
This review compares the original(?) Chulux 800w single serve coffee maker with the newer 1000w stainless steel model.I purchased the original Chulux in July 2019 and have overall been very pleased with it. It has worked with no issue, heats water quickly, and is easy to use and easy to clean. There were a few things I didnât like though. It has directions printed on the side for how to use it, which makes it look like a hotel room coffee maker. It has a very small opening for the water reservoir so it is difficult to pour water into it from a mug and you have to pour slowly or it will overflow. The drip tray platform is removeable to allow for a slightly taller mug, but it is slightly difficult to remove and requires both hands to hold the Chulux and remove the tray. Once the tray is removed, there are ridges in the platform that make putting a mug on them slightly precarious. The new stainless model Chulux resolved all of these issues. It has very nice stainless steel sides and a large opening for the water reservoir making it easy to pour water into it from a mug. The drip tray platform lifts out easily with one hand, and once the tray is removed the platform for the mug is perfectly flat. It also has some additional nice features. It has a measurement indicator in the water reservoir so you know how many ounces of water are in it. The spout that the water comes out of is slightly shorter, so allows for a slightly taller mug.I did a side-by-side test of how quickly they heated up, and the stainless model does brew slightly faster, which makes sense since it is 1000W and the original is 800W. The stainless model had about a half a cup dispensed when the original started dispensing, so it is not a huge difference. The original Chulux does do a couple of things better. It creates less splatter. Possibly because of the longer dispensing spout, but also because it dispenses in more of a steady stream while the stainless model dispenses with more spray. The open/lock dial on the top turns smoothly all the way from open to locked and has a better feel on the original model. The open/lock dial on the stainless model has a cheaper feel and you have to turn harder to click it into the locked position. This is a minor nitpick though. One other important distinction is the size. The original Chulux has a very small footprint. The stainless one, while still small, is noticeably wider, deeper, and taller. This also means that when the lid is open, it is taller than the original and will need more clearance under countertops. In summary:Original 800w ChuluxGood: Small footprintGood: Very little splatterGood: Good feel to open/lock dial on topBad: Printed directions on sideBad: Small reservoir openingBad: Drip tray takes two hands to remove and once removed there are ridges on the platform that cups do not sit well onStainless 10000w ChuluxGood: much larger opening for water reservoir is easier to fill and has built in measurementGood: Looks nice on the counterGood: Drip tray reservoir removes easily with one handGood: Slightly more room for taller mugsBad: Larger footprint on counter and tallerBad: Splatters a little moreBad: Open/lock dial not as smooth to operateOverall, both are good products. The original does the job and is cheaper and smaller. The stainless one is more expensive but looks far better. It is easier to fill, but also has a larger, taller footprint which might not work for some countertops.

Great low priced k-cup coffee maker
So far, Iâve only used reusable k-cups with this coffee maker and it works great. No frills operation with a single twist lock/unlock hinged top and brew operation start button.I only have two minor negatives with the unit:1) You have to make sure the twist lock is ALL the way clockwise when locking the top otherwise the brew operation will not start when button is pressed. Once you realize this itâs no problem to use.2) If you press down too hard on the top when operating the lock/unlock knob, the unit will tip forward a bit. Itâs not a lot but itâs definitely noticeable. It appears to be a design issue with the cup support (bottom) section of the coffee make which allows it to flex when pressure is applied. It doesnât affect functionality of the unit, just a slight annoyance.Otherwise the unit brews great, temperature and taste. The removable cup support allows for a taller cup and facilitates easy cleaning. For the price vs itâs basic function you canât go wrong with this kcup coffee makerð

Great little machine for a single cup of coffee. I used to use a french press but always made more than I needed. This machine helps to make the one cup I need – it’s perfect! Would buy it again in a heartbeat.
