Beautiful large cast iron tea kettle.
This cast iron tea kettle is large enough to serve four people. Not only is it large but it is beautiful. I like the fact that the inside of the kettle is enameled and the stainless steel infuser is large enough to hold tea for more than two people. This tea kettle is well crafted.

It’s a very pretty tea pot. I purchased this for my mother for mother’s day and she absolutely loves it. I definitely recommend gifting this tea pot to someone you love.

    Perfect for my needs
Perfect size for my needs. Painted design is clear and concise: no sloppy painting on pot or lid and it is quite pretty: what looks to be white in the painted design is more like a silver/white as both the gold and white/silver catch the light quite nicely. The lid just sits on top: doesn’t secure so be sure to hold in place when pouring. Pour spout is, so far, dripless, and that is a huge + for me: I cannot tolerate spouts on anything, kettles, measuring cups, water pitchers, etc., that drip or dribble as one pours. If not for the price, I’d consider purchasing a second one to have on hand, or gift to someone but the budget won’t allow for that right now. The strainer included is the perfect size and designed so that the tea actually sits in the water and not above the water line. However, the only drawback to this beautiful kettle in the 3 days I’ve had/used it, is that the very narrow rim where the strainer sits is cast iron while the inside of the kettle is ceramic as is the underside of the lid, and after 3 days of use: two days as just hot water and only 1 day of leaving the strainer in place while I brewed tea, the rim where the strainer sits rusted. Just like any cast iron cookware, I had to clean it and then season it with a bit of oil on just that narrow rim but had to be careful not to get oil where the water would be once I filled the kettle or poured from it. This is a drawback for me as eventually I’ll miss and get oil inside it and contaminate my clean tea water with the oil residue which I don’t want to do. The ceramic lining of the kettle probably should have been designed to come up higher and curve over that narrow lip where the lid sits to prevent this very thing. I felt the interior ceramic and the underneath of the lid being ceramic would prevent any sort of rusting, but I admit to being highly disappointed in that regard. I don’t want to be concerned about rust every 3 days I use this kettle. I like the kettle enough to keep it, but had I known about the rusting issue, I probably would not have purchased it as there are many other choices that aren’t cast iron nor this expensive for a small kettle. In retrospect, if it rusts again, I’ll probably just go back to using my large, stainless, whistling kettle that I’ve had for decades that doesn’t require any special care other than regular washing with warm soapy water and toweling dry for a spectacular shine.

    Beautiful and practical
Beautifully made cast iron teapot. I drink a lot of loose leaf tea and use it everyday. It’s easy to clean and looks great in my kitchen. I can see how this would be a great for anyone who loves tea.

    Cute
Looked for something unique to place on wood stove for humidity if needed. Smaller than what I thought, have used to make tea as water is always hot and ready to go. Very cute, thought unique – as I haven’t seen anything like it – until yesterday at Marshall’s for 24.99.Also if bought to use on a kitchen stove top, I’d use only with gas stove top.
