Nice tamping mat
No issues at all with this tamping mat. It is nice and heavy duty, thick material that cleans up nicely. Sits flush on counter and works as advertised. It would be nice to have a smaller logo on it, but it is not very noticeable anyway.

Heavy and thick tamping mat
This CASABREWS tamping mat is a great addition to my espresso setup. Its size is perfect, providing ample space for all my espresso tools, including the tamper, distributor, and portafilter. The mat is also very heavy and thick, which ensures that it stays in place and does not slip during use. Very impressed!
I am very impressed with this tamping mat. It is very substantial, thick and heavy, so it doesn’t go slipping and sliding around the counter, and it offers what must be the maximum amount of protection for just about any surface. It is also a very ample sizeâthere’s lots of room to set your WDT and tamper, and plenty of area to catch stray coffee grounds.I was concerned about the very large raised letters on the face of the mat, but it is much more subtle that the product photos make is seem, and it practically disappears into the mat.Overall, I would not hesitate to purchase this tamping mat from Casabrews.

Works great but incompatible with bottomless portafilter
I have a Casabrews machine and this mat is great with it. High Quality, solid material. It fits the stock Casabrews portafilter perfectly but the bottomless one will not sit flat at all and requires more care. That aside would still recommend. Makes cleanup much easier.

Many functional features to like, thickness has a nice feel
I like how this product has a lip around the edge to keep the grounds from migrating off the mat onto the table surface. Also the thickness of the mat has a nice feel. While I don’t like tapping on the mat because the bounce can disrupt the distribution of my coffee, the tamping has a nice feel and is less likely to score because the thickness allows for more absorption of the force into a larger thickness of the silicone. All in all, I think this is my favorite mat to date because of these features.

Another excellent Casabrew product
Casabrew makes great espresso machine and accessories. This tamping matt is no exception. The 6×8 matt is heavy as it is over 1# in weight. Plop it on the edge of the counter and the rubber will not stip. The L shaped wrapped edge prevents the tip of a standard portafilter from marking up or chipping counter tops. The raised lip around the top edge of the matt prevents a coffee brush or WDT from rolling offThe matt is a perfect size to hold various espresso accessories from distributor, tamper, wire distribution tool, portafilter and screen. Everything can be laid out to funnel, distribute and tamp for any standard or bottomless portafilter in hand.This matt does not have any recesses for accessories or single place for a portafilter. I prefer the matt to be just a single smooth surface so no coffee power gets trapped and difficult to clean out.Another excellent Casabrew product.

Sturdy, non-slip and good looking
This tamping mat is not too big for a small counter, but big enough to work on. It is a substantial piece of silicone that stays in place very well. It has a smooth surface, which I prefer so that I can use it in any way I want, rather than have indents for items I may not want.I recommend this tamping mat.

Simple and Functional
When you’re tamping freshly ground coffee into a portafilter, it is inevitable that the coffee will get on the counter. This little mat is made of nice, thick silicon that gives a slightly padded surface to tamp the coffee into the filter and protects the counter. It’s a snap to move it to put the loose coffee in the trash/compost and you can easily rinse it off. There’s a slight raised edge around the mat that will keep excess grounds or water/coffee from getting on the counter. I’m very happy to have a spot to tamp the portafilter and keep the counter looking nice. Very nice product.
