Gorgeous, Classy Machine That Works Beautifully
This espresso machine has far exceeded our expectations. We got the sapphire blue, which has an elegant stainless steel body. I initially chose Casabrews for two main reasons: customer service and build quality, but I discovered after trying out the machine that it also makes delicious espresso. This is an affordable machine with high-quality and safe materials, such as the stainless steel boiler and BPA-free plastic. I’ve owned three similarly-priced machines from notable brands before, and Casabrews stands out with quality and performance. This machine is more automatic than I expected and has preprogrammed espresso shots. The clear manual explains how to get the best shots, steam, and heat with each step in making your morning coffee. Every espresso we have tried has been delicious, including lattes made using the steam wand.I am familiar with using a bottomless portafilter, and I purchased one from Casabrews, which has a beautiful wood handle. Surprisingly, I was able to get a great shot with it from the get-go. I found that grinding a little finer, tamping a little more firmly, and using high-quality, fresh beans create the best shot with a bottomless portafilter. I’ve included two links to the wood bottomless portafilter and a wood tamper if you want to add extra flair to your machine.Casabrews Bottomless Portafilter with Wood Handle:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZKYTDKB?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titleStainless Steel Tamper with Wood Handle:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09J7TQ36B?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titleThe portafilter that comes with the machine is very sturdy and works well if you’d rather use it. It also makes excellent espresso. If you’re purchasing a Casabrews espresso machine from Amazon, I suggest you follow two steps: first, register your espresso machine with Casabrews on their website, and you’ll get an 18-month warranty instead of 12. Second, I recommend purchasing an Assurion Kitchen Protection Plan ( you can choose for up to 4 years) on Amazon as additional insurance for the machine.Thank you, Casabrews, for creating such a high-quality and beautiful home espresso machine.

    Fantastic machine, incredible service 🙂
First, the machine- it’s super high quality, and affordable for an espresso machine! The setup and use instructions were clear and super detailed, which I really appreciate because I’d never owned an espresso machine before. Makes really good espresso, it’s simple and quick to clean out, the steam wand function works perfectly, and mine withstood just about two years of constant use (multiple rounds of use per day, because my family loved it too) before it started having internal failures. It was a great machine, and worth every penny!Which brings me to the customer service. When my machine eventually wore down, I contacted casabrews asking them for advice on how I could try to fix it. The response was prompt, and they made the incredibly generous offer to replace my machine fully with a new one, at no cost to me. I was a little skeptical at first because it sounded too good to be true, but a week and a few more emails later, a brand new espresso machine had landed on my doorstep. It’s been running for a couple days now while I made sure everything was in order, and it’s perfect!! It’s a beautiful espresso machine and it works like a dream. I’m so happy to have another one of these machines, and I am so, so grateful to the casabrews team (thank you Joanne!!) for making that happen. So if you’re interested in making your own espresso, especially if you’re a beginner, I highly recommend this machine! <3

I thought I had found it!
I’ve gone through 4 different single-serve coffee/espresso machines in the past year. All have their pros & cons. But the one that nailed it on flavor, ease, & lack of needing k-cup type plastic again and again is this one. It heats up & brews quickly, creates a strong tasting brew, and doesn’t require much finagling with the coarseness of the grind. It does vibrate quite a bit and the frother is a bear to master. But after using it for just a few months, it now leaks a LOT under the machine overnight (as in about 1/3 of the reservoir leaks out). I’ve tried re-settling the water reservoir and descaling the machine. It still leaks. I expected a more than 3 months of use from this.UPDATE: Customer service is sending me a new one without charge. However, I wish everything wasn’t so disposable and that the existing one was fixable. Leaks this early on shouldn’t happen.

A Well Designed Machine + Exceptional Customer Service (*Incompatible with ESE Pods*)
We replaced our 6-year-old DeLonghi espresso maker with the Casabrew 20 Bar model. We love the machine’s space-saving, sleek design (perfect for NYC apartments). While it looks very expensive sitting on the counter, the price point wasn’t! The machine is very easy to use and brews a perfect cup of espresso. Don’t be fooled—there is a mighty machine in that compact design. One minor drawback is that you can’t use E.S.E. pods or purchase an adapter for this option. For real Espresso aficionados, the inability to use E.S.E. pods is probably not a consideration 😉 However, our household is known to use them, so we were impressed by how quickly and diligently the customer service team helped us figure out the ESE pod issue from troubleshooting to resolution. Casabrew is a good little company with excellent customer support.

I was reluctant to go with a no-name espresso machine, but the price and small footprint of this machine was too attractive to pass up. Turns out it’s a competent little machine that is great for a single Americano or small latte, and suits a small kitchen where counterspace is not large. The main thing I would counsel based on about a month of use, is grind your beans very meticulously, tamp the coffee well, pay attention to the pressure guage and shoot for just above mid-range for maximum flavour without scorching the grounds. The pressure guage is great as a guide to whether your coffee is the right grind and compacted properly. Also, warm up the vessels you’re using beforehand to keep things warm enough. The instruction guide with this machine is quite explicit about warming your implements and I found it very helpful. The hot water setting on the machine is decent for Americano making, and it’s nice that I don’t have to boil a kettle separately for hot water like I did with my previous mid-range Breville I bought as a refurbished machine, and that finally packed it in after about 15 years of use.Like all compact machines, this is best for one or two people max. If you entertain and want to serve lattes to everyone, this is not the machine for you. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and we’ll see how many years it keeps going…

I have a bit of a love dislike relationship with this machine. I have been using it for just over a week now for my daily lattes so I am still getting a feel for it. We purchased this one after my old Breville began to seem like it was about to go. We have had the same machine for about 10-11 years and it just started going after we were travelling back and forth with it to our cottage. They don’t make the model we have anymore so after some research my husband thought it was worth trying the casabrews.I am a hard core espresso connoisseur by any means. I don’t weigh my beans or shot, etc. but I do have a bit of a picky taste and don’t like just any espresso. Here is what I like about the unitIt looks nice and sleek. Because it is such a sleek model it doesn’t take up a lot of space on the counter and is easy to move. The pressure gauge on the front is something I haven’t had before and I like seeing that my grind is in the right range. It makes a good crema on top of the espressoThe machine automatically stops when the 1 or 2 cups of espresso have brewed. This took a little getting used to as I haven’t had that before. So sometimes it feels a little too much water is in. But you can always just stop the pour if you prefer it a little stronger.I have only frothed milk once as it is summer and I prefer iced. But it worked well and it quickly heated the milk. Much faster than my old machine. Seemed to make a good foam. Here is what I don’t love.Because the machine is so lightweight you have to hold the machine while trying to lock in the espresso holder. It’s not a big deal but I often have a baby of child in my arms while making coffee so it’s a bit of a pain. Not a dealbreaker just worth noting. After you use the frothing arm you have to run hot water for about 8 seconds so the machine doesn’t overheat. All of this is detailed in instructions. If you don’t the lights on the 1 and 2 cup buttons just flash on and off and you can’t brew. It will also just flash like that and not brew if the overflow on the bottom of the machine is full and needs to be emptied. I had this happened and I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t get the machine to brew. It was so frustrating and I was ready to pack the machine up and send it back. My old Breville didn’t have any of that automation so it takes getting used to.Now that I am getting the feel of things I am pretty happy with it. The real test is how long it will last.

I’ve owned a fully manual Saeco espresso machine for 15 years. It’s did me fine, but I wanted to try a different model and to see what improvements have been made with a moderate price point. My Saeco was $500 US, I was skeptical about Casabrews reviews costing less.I decided to give it a try, if it didn’t meet my expectations, I would return it.Well, this machine has exceeded my expectations❗️. 1st off, it’s very stylish and perfect if you don’t have a lot of space on your counter when you want to keep it out all the timeAfter setting it up and turning the unit on, I ran the hot water through the frother.I like to grind my espresso, it give me that fresh and aromatic aroma that I want everytime I have an espresso. My Saeco had the single shot, but u had to buy the prepackaged perforated bags of espresso. It annoyed me because it’s a cost that I didn’t want to deal with so I always made a 2 shot espresso. During the morning, it’s perfect but in the afternoon or evening, I prefer to have a single shot. With my Saeco machine, it had to Purge before I could use it.With Casabrew espresso machine, you don’t need to worry about purging and you don’t need to buy perforated bags of espresso for a single shot.A good sign of a espresso machine is the crema. Well, let me tell you, it blew me away when I saw the amount of crema it gave me on single shot. My old Saeco didn’t come close.Another issue I didn’t like with my old Saeco was plastic tube inside the water tank and the plastic piece that was on the end of the nozzle to make a cappuccino. Everytime you made cappuccino, with the Saeco, I had to take everything apart to clean it. With Casabrew, there’s no tube in the tank. The water is pulled from the bottom of the tank. If I make a cappuccino, after I’m done all I have to do is get a cup of warm water and have the hot water come through the nozzle…that’s it.I also like the pressure gauge to help you understand if the machine is maintaining a consistent level of hot water. It gives you the maximize or optimum quality of espresso. If I had to be critical about this machine, there’s only one thing I wish Casabrew did…add some weight to the base. As you lock in the espresso, I find it sometimes may move around. Part of that is that the water tank isn’t full. I prefer to put up with a slight move in the machine vs. having to buy perforated bags for single shots. I’m hooked with one, I have used it over a week and I’ve had more espresso than ever. I want to invite family and friends just to have a good brew.Highly recommended 👌🏻
