I am really surprised that the quality of this product is not better considering it has their name and logo on it, especially since I’ve been using their brand espresso maker for over a year now and the espresso maker is literally the best, but this container, I am not impressed. The container feels like it’s made with sheet metal slightly thicker than aluminum foil, just enough to give it some structure and polish. The logo is not not printed straight. There are stains on the inside of the container. The sealing mechanism feels cheap and it already came with a small dent in the bottom and the box came in better shape than the product did. I had originally hoped to showcase this next to my actual Casabrews Espresso Maker to put my espresso grounds in, but I think it may just cheapen the look of the nice espresso maker. I’m sorry but I would not buy this. Pictures are included.

A bit disappointed that a nice stainless steel containers has a less that expected quality lid. It is a hard clear plastic that doesn’t seal as well as I think it should. Since the lid is clear, it allows light to pass into the canister, which can be detrimental to the contents. Not necessarily so, but IMO the lid should also be made of stainless, or at least something other than clear plastic.Although this is a small canister which only holds 8 ounces, I like that it isn’t larger, so I can store a small amount of coffee beans to grind daily, keeping the bulk of my coffee beans in a separate well-sealed container.__I like the looks of this canister and it looks nice without taking p a lo of space__BOTTOM LINE: Although this is nota perfect product it is adaptable to hold various things and I would choose it again since it is so affordably priced

I rated this 3/5 because even though the build quality of this container is poor, it still seems to work and do its job. The rubber sealing ring is quite thin and feels like it wont last too long. The lid is this thin and cheap plastic as well. The worst thing about this container is the way that the lid fastens on to the body of the vessel. It is like these ultra thin stamped pieces that poorly clamp around the container and the lid feels loose even when it is secured. It does have very easy to use features (why would it not?) but I would say is a terrible value for the money. Go buy yourself some mason jars. It did have an interesting smell from the factory that went away after washing.

The coffee storage container is very good-looking, being made of brushed stainless steel, with a hinged lid. The lid has a transparent plastic opening so that you can see what is stored in the container. The clasp is easy to pop off and the lid swings open allowing you to fill the container through a wide opening. You can then close the lid tightly and clasp it for keeping the contents fresher for longer. When I tested it with water, I found the container leaked a few drops of water when shaken, so the seal is not 100% air tight at least in some spots. But it is convenient to use and the air tightness is good enough for storing most solid things.Even though the container is made of metal, it is not dishwasher safe, probably because the container can’t be separated from the seal in the lid, which may not do well inside a dishwasher. So, the container has to be hand-washed. I also find the price to be a little high since you can probably find sets of multiple containers like this for the price being charged for a single container.

Been using this for weekly fresh ground espresso – Don’t want to have too much and don’t have time to grind it every day. This container helps me keep that espresso fresh over the week and we reload it every 7 days. It is a nice size that isn’t too big and gives enough space to get a scoop in. Lid seals well and the design of the container is very nice.

From a distance, the Casabrews Coffee Storage Container (8 oz Stainless Steel) looks like an attractive, good quality airtight container. Then upon closer inspection, you realize that there’s something slightly off about each part. For example, there are two rough edges on the clear plastic lid. They might be defects from having been improperly taken out of its mold. These edges are rough enough to hurt if I accidentally place my hand on the spots. Next, the clasp is loose. It should be tighter and pull the lid downward more to ensure an airtight seal. The silicone gasket is average quality and too thin. It doesn’t form a good airtight seal on any of the storage products I have that use it. The 304 stainless steel body is probably the nicest part of this container. But even that is a little on the thin side. At this price point, I expected slightly better quality.

Transparent lid might not be for you
The transparent lid is not really a good feature. Light is not a friend of coffee, it can degrade it. So, unless you are planning to keep the container inside a cabinet (or storing other things in it), this is not for you.I tested with water and got no spillage, so I’m gonna say the air-tight feature is good. Stainless steel is the way to go, as it doesn’t impart flavor. Since it’s small, I use it for types of coffee I don’t use regularly such as flavored or decaf.
