    Turkish Coffee Fans — Rejoice
Is this conical burr grinder The Best? My research says no. Other burr grinders are regarded as being better. This son of a gun grinds coffee to a powder sufficient for me for making Turkish coffee. Would a manual grinder work better? Maybe. Maybe not.All I can tell you is this grinder has done a wonderful job grinding for my Keurig (I know, I know), my Chemex, and my cezve for Turkish coffee — which is finer than espresso. I may get a manual grinder for traveling which might be better for a Turkish grind … BUT … this does the job. What I can tell you is this does a great job with Turkish coffee and drip coffee and pour-over coffee. If it succeeds with French Press (perhaps in my future) and immersion brewing (more likely in my future), it won’t be a surprise. The 16 grind settings are unique and the finest is great. If a manual grinder is slightly different than this grinder (Turkish coffee specific), than it can’t be by much. My Turkish coffee is every bit as good as the coffee I have had in Morocco (which inspired me even though it’s not technically Turkey) and at Turkish restaurants. The static is minimal. Cleaning (a nuisance) isn’t all that bad. And it’s much more quiet than most other grinders I investigated. Unless you have a specific need, I don’t see how one goes wrong with this baby. I love it.

    Exceeded our Our Expectations.
Replaced our Capresso 560, which we used almost everyday for the past several years with no problems. Not sure why I upgraded, but just wanted to. I was surprised at how quiet the Capresso 575 was and especially surprised at how much heavier than the 560. It feels very solid and well-made, so I expect I won’t be able to wear this model out — wore most of the numbers and indicator dot off the old grinder. It may be my imagination, but I do believe that my daily coffee does taste better. At about the same setting, the new grind is finer and totally consistent throughout. I know one issue people have brought up with coffee grinders is static electricity causing the ground coffee to be messy transferring to the coffee pot. One day I had a little of that, but being careful, I had no mess. Another day, after the weather had changed, I had absolutely no floating grounds. I do think this issue is related more to the humidity and the coffee. The Capresso 575 completely meets my needs and is a good value. I considered some of the higher end grinders (at least more expensive) and it is hard to imagine how they could any better than this model. If this model is anywhere near as reliable as my old Capresso, I expect to have many years of great coffee. To me, starting off the day with good coffee is one of the essentials of a happy life.

    Grinds quickly and quietly
I LOVE my capresso grinder! I got it to use with my moccamaster and my coffee has never tasted better. This machine is so much quieter than a blade grinder and looks great on my counter. I don’t love the static cling it creates during the process but I think that’s unavoidable. Definitely a good purchase.

    Great grinder
It’s been years since I had a Burr grinder last one was so long ago I forgot the brand. It was a gift and had flat steel burrs. This conical grinder is very quiet and I get no mess on the counter after each grind. I also have a manual grinder for small batches and use the Capresso for brewing a pot or french press. I use fresh mild roast beans so maybe that’s why I don’t have any mess except a little static cling in the plastic catch bin. Cleaning is easy. The provided brush, while small, is adequate but I also use a toothbrush and pipe cleaners after a grind which makes emptying the grind chamber a breeze. Accessing the Burr for cleaning is very easy, as is setting the grind size. This model is the metal body which has some weight to it and may be why it is so quiet. I like this grinder.

    Glad I bought it.
I researched extensively on line for a coffee grinder with specific features. Conical Burr grinder, large hopper, ease of use, automatic turn off. There are several options out there worth consideration at various price points. I read lots of reviews, checked prices, checked features. Finally upsold myself to this model. Liked the metal base. Very pleased. Solid machine, simple to use, produces an even grind, easy to clean, holds about 12 ozs. In the hopper which has a cover. Suits my needs perfectly. A bit pricey, but it makes me happy. I was also out to reduce or eliminate coffee ground mess on the countertop. This product isn’t bad, but there is still an attraction of grounds to the machine as a result of static electricity. I have concluded that it is impossible to eliminate this problem entirely. I recommend placing a paper towel under the front of the machine to catch any wayward ground coffee. This product is better than many on this point. Highly recommended.

    Solidly Made
My wife bought this for me on Amazon a couple of years ago as my $20 grinder had worn out. I use this about 3 days a week, grinding enough for a couple of days. It offers a wide variety of grinds but found from the beginningn it had two weaknesses. One, it is very heavy and two, it has to be cleaned frequently, which is impacted by its weight. Though not used often, I noticed recently a slight “electrical” smell when I ground my coffee. As it is not very long on grind, I wasn’t worried as it never was on long enough to get hot. I recently wrote to Capresso and they said I should check to make sure it is clean and not clogged with coffee. As I clean it thoroughly after two uses, I knew that wasn’t a problem. As it was past its one year warranty, they said they would give me a discount on another. As expensive as this grinder is, that still would be a lot of money, so I will just keep it and if it does become more of an issue, will discard it and use my hand grinder from Germany, or buy the highly-rated Amazon grinder for $20. Not considering the two inherent negatives (weight and cleaning) I don’t think this is good value to just grind coffee, something most cheaper grinders do well. Despite its limited use (once or twice a week), I thought it should have lasted longer than it did, especially considering the price. While solidly made, I don’t think it is good value for the money.
