My girlfriend said this was her favorite Christmas present ever. Be aware first time users. Your partner will spray milk on the side of the wall with the frother lol. Amazing product. Feels and looks high quality. Highly recommend.

DO NOT buy this machine!
I purchased the Cafe Espresso Maker in December. Five months later all systems have failed and both the warranty departments in the US and Canada have failed to return my calls or emails after some discussion.A few months ago it began leaking from underneath (not because the drip tray way full) which I was able to mitigate by removing some of the extra compartments located in the drip tray.Two weeks ago all systems failed (after repeated attempts to clean, descale and follow the troubleshooting tips in the manual and on YouTube). The cleaned grinder does not grind well, regardless of the size. When pouring the espresso the machine gets half way before all four lights begin to flash. This happens regardless of whether the porta filter is in place or not. The steamer only works intermittently and has a death rattle.The first sign of quality should have been the labels on the buttons wearing off after just a few months.The service through GE/Cafe has been a nightmare of getting the run around because Iâm located in Canada but purchased the unit from Amazon.com Literally no one has been able to help resolve the issue.Itâs frustrating and disappointing to think that we have a five month old machine (that was a huge investment) that no longer works and the manufacturer does not even attempt to stand by the warranty.Donât waste your time or money.

Former barista – love this machine
If youâve ever worked in the coffee industry none of the quirks of this machine will be foreign to you. Itâs not a professional grade machine, that should be a given by the price point. ($500 vs $5000)This machine pulls AMAZING shots when dialed in (something you, the user, are responsible for) and for getting its water from a reservoir rather than a direct plumbing line, it works quickly and efficiently.The machine comes with four different baskets for the portafilter. Two for double shots and two for single shots, one double walled and one single walled. I use the double walled double shot basket.You cannot steam milk at the same time as pulling your shot. Another feature you would find on a professional grade machine but again, this is for at-home use and comes with an at-home price tag so I cannot complain.The grinder does occasionally jam up, something resolved by tapping the size of the bean reservoir a couple of times.Overall this machine is very aesthetically pleasing, good quality, and comes with what you need to make a divine latte/americano/whatever you wish, from the comfort of home.

No crema and the grinder didn’t work well.
The title says it all. I like coffee with crema and this maker didn’t not pass the test. No crema what so ever!I also had problems with the coffee grinder. I returned it.

Really disappointed..
I was really excited when this was on sale for Black Friday. My FiancÃ© and I were on the hunt for a good expresso machine after having cheaper ones in the past. I read the reviews that the grinder gets jammed often, but ignored. Well, two weeks into owning of course the grinder stopped working. Despite all efforts (YouTube searches, manual review) it still gave us the red light, even when it was cleared out. I called GE support and they said “just return it”.. so I will be. Now, within the two weeks the grinder did work, it made a great cup of expresso. I debated keeping and just grinding my own beans with my smaller individual grinder, but for the price, would rather have a fully functioning machine. Overall, really disappointed because it is a beautiful machine.
