I purchased this Grabado grinder to replace a cheaper ceramic burr grinder I purchased about a year ago. I also recently purchased a much more expensive 1Zpresso grinder which I have been pleased with. I find the Grabado to be just as good for my purposes. Full disclosure, I use a coarse grind for a French press, and don’t change the settings at all. I also never make espresso, so I don’t know how this grinder compares to others for very fine grinds. Overall, the fit and finish of the Grabado is very impressive. It’s manufactured from high quality milled aluminum with food grade stainless steel burr grinders. I don’t know how the Grabado will measure up to the 1Zpresso over the long term, but judging by its build quality, I believe it should last.

I bought this as a gift for my husband, so he can grind his own coffee beans on our upcoming road trip – he was not optimistic at first when he saw what it was (he loves his electric grinder a lot, and heâs very particular about his coffee accessories!), but after using this one at home for a week to try it out, heâs very impressed and gives it 5 stars! He says the components seem well-made and sturdy, especially given the price point, he likes the size of the grind and finds that it works well for his pour-over coffee, and best of all itâs quiet so it wonât wake up the rest of us or bother anyone when we go on our trip. Itâs also small, which is a huge plus for portability, but it also means we have to grind beans for one cup of coffee at a time. But itâs fast and easy to do, so itâs not a big deal, and itâs a fair trade off for a travel size coffee grinder. So while we canât comment on the long-term durability yet, itâs performing great so far and my husband recommends it!

Works good for coarse grind
I must admit that I keep trying to find a manual grinder that will grind finely for espresso and so far, this one won’t either. It’s super easy to grind — no acrobatics turning the nice wooden handle. It’s a smooth and easy ride for coarse grinding but I can’t seem to find a finer working. I’ve adjusted the dial several different ways and I’ve watched as the burr area (grinder mechanism) closes to a smaller opening, but the results are not there. The turning dial (settings) is marked but the dial itself has two ends making it unclear which is the correct one to use as a pointer. I’ve gone through more than six ounces of coffee trying to get fine results and I gave up after many tries though I will come back to it eventually. The entire unit is heavy, durable and fits nicely in your hand. The grooves on the body help to grip it better.. The top piece that you turn to grind is easy to use and lightly locks, so sometimes it falls off if I’m not paying attention, and other times I have to work to remove it. I had high hopes, but perhaps for me I will stick with electric. For regular coarser ground needs, it’s great. If I ever figure it out I will post an update.

Simple, nice looking, gets the job done quick
First let me say, this is the first coffee grinder I have used. With that being said, this is a grinder that is so simple to use, portable, and does a great grinding job, that I donât even care about looking for another one.This grinder will allow you to grind sufficient coffee for 2 people depending on the amount you like to drink. You can adjust it to have coffee beans cut down to a very small size or to a larger size. I selected the smaller size (fine grinding). I was expecting the cranking function to be difficult and even get stuck. None of that happened. Very easy to grind, crank it until you feel 0 resistance.How to use it?First adjust grinding size. Forget about the numbers on the adjusting knob. Instead, look at the gap where the grinded coffee will pass thru. The size of the gap will give you a better idea of the grinding size.Then screw in the cap where the grinded coffee will be deposited.Add coffee beans on top, make sure you donât overflow it.Attach the crank handle and start cranking.When done remove the cap in the bottom to use your grinded coffee.How to clean:I would not recommend water or any other cleaning liquid. It may end up corroding the insides.It comes with a brush, which works, but IMO is not the best option.The best option, IMO, is using a can of compress air and just dust it off with it.* there was an option to rate the flavor. I did not rated it because IMO flavor is not dependent of the grinder but instead of the coffee bean

Bueno pero en molienda fina
Este fue mi primer molino manual, lo compre para poder moler cafÃ© para mi prensa francesa pero desafortunadamente la calidad de la molienda no es uniforme y esto hace que tenga que usar un tamiz para separar la molienda fina y media y quedarme solo con la gruesa. Ahora solo lo uso para hacer mi cafÃ© en la Aeropress o en la moka italiana.

All metal construction. Good build quality. Finest setting grinds coffee beans into a fine powder. Works really well. Would recommend it to anyone who isn’t an expert in these things.

LOVE this grinder
lOoOoVvVEeEe iiiiit!!! stainless steel burr grinds extra smooth, such quality material parts. from the body to the smallest mechanisms within the shaft, this thing is durable and aesthetic. the instructions tell you to use the number of clicks to find the appropriate grind, and while that’s true, you may also have to manually adjust the small threaded cap within the chamber to ensure you are getting the precise grind required. it has both numbers and symbols so the user can orient the grind easily, no matter which tuning technique chosen. with any and every grind imaginable, this thing performs with ease be it extra coarse to extra fine. i also love the ritual of it all, grinding my beans with each cup. with that said, the chamber is plenty big to grind an entire pot’s worth at once, or grind enough for the day and store in a separate jar. i just happen to like grinding the beans fresh for a pour over cup of coffee, again, just an enjoyable little ritual. the detachable magnetic knob on the handle is a great touch, so many other designs leave you struggling to store the handle due to the fixed knob. i also love the knob is wooden, again, quaint charm, durable and aesthetic. the storage pouch is pretty thick, not sure what the material really is, but has a durable feel without compromising the smooth texture. wanted something streamline and classic and this definitely delivers. i’ve been using it every single day and it’s lovng every bit of it, this thing is made to serve. looking forward to getting back into a cold brew routine now that spring approaches, and can’t wait to fine tune the alchemy of it all using this grinder. and the price point is right on the money, full pun, no pun, this thing is worth it!
