I was slightly skeptical after reading a lot of reviews. Saw some static complaints, and one on texture. One user thought it didn’t grind fine enough, and I grind very fine. I took the risk, and it can grind even finer than I require. Also some said a bit noisy. I do not find it so. It’s not a fan – it’s a coffee grinder dip-stick! Lastly, I think one review growled a little about static in the receiver cup.. Not an issue at all. I’ve used for about a month, I drink a lot of coffee, so I grind a bag at a time and store it an a vacuum container. I’ve run about 4 bags of coffee through it, and I just took a paper towel and wiped the receiver for the 1st time. Sorry Mr. Coffee – YOU’RE FIRED!!! — BONUS! BONUS! BONUS! I was also skeptical of the water tank deal. A Mr Coffee user for years I’m just used to filling the pot and pour in the coffee maker. Even though the water tank has a lid, I envisioned it drippling all over the counter as I carry it from sink to coffee maker four feet away. Wrong! I’ve never spilled a drop. Mounts easily too!!. Wow! I’m getting so excited, I think I’ll order another one and race them!!!!!!!

grind fineness adjustment issue
I liked it initially when I was using a French Press to make coffee. Switched to a drip coffee maker and found that, no matter the setting, I get mostly the same coarse grounds and need to run them through a blender to get any decent coffee. I have had this for six months, intend to throw it in the trash. It isn’t worth the extra work and clean-up.

This burr coffee grinder does not take up too much room on the counter top. The grind is good for our French press.Although the container, holding the coffee beans is locked into place, you still need to hold your hand down on the top of the container for it all to grind. Otherwise, the sound is deafening, it stops grinding, and the light on the starter button flashes blue.My husband, who wrote instructions, to his employees on the working of equipment, has always complained about the poor translations of instructions on units from China. He feels, after so many years, that it should have been corrected. I am fortunate to have him around, because these instructions are lame.

Love the different settings
I had been having problems with my coffee not tasting good and tried filtered water and of course descaling my machine,I had read for drip coffee makers it needs to be a coarser ground for best results .I decided to try it and bought the Burr coffee grinder and it really made a difference.
