Grinder works well, but seems small in regard to capacity
I have never owned a conical burr grinder before, but I really like this one. I had been doing some research on them, so I can offer some insight based off of what I read vs. what this grinder can and can’t do.The one big thing that stands out to me is that the amount of coffee beans it can hold and grind seems like a small amount compared to other burr grinders I had researched. It works well for me because I am just making coffee for myself and/or one other person. Also, I never do more than two cups of coffee in a day. So, the capacity of this grinder does not pose a problem for me. If you are someone that makes a lot of coffee throughout the day or has several people that drink coffee, then you may want something with a larger capacity.I have a Nespresso, but I also like to have a fresh ground and brewed cup of coffee on occasion, and that is usually on the weekends, when I have more time to fuss with my coffee. This works perfectly for a coarse ground coffee for a pour over. It also makes a nice fine ground coffee for espresso too. So, it is versatile depending on what type of coffee you like to make.I found it easy to use, and to clean. It comes with a small brush that is handy to use while cleaning it out. It’s a nice size, so you can leave it out on your counter without it being an eyesore or taking up too much space. All in all, I really like it. It’s hard for me to say anything about the price range and if it is worth it or not as I have not tried other burr grinders. It does seem pricey, but the ones I was looking at before receiving this one were around this range too.

Clogged first use
Simply a bad design. Coffee clogged from in the grinding compartment and didnât flow out. My daughter referred to what it made as âcoffee butter.â Wanted to love it. Hated it.

Nice single dosing grinder for esspresso
You might be thinking that this is a hefty price tag on a grinder and in a way it is – valued at $199.99 when I received it. The price came down a bit which is nice to see. This grinder is not for everyone and cheaper alternatives might work perfectly fine depending on the brew type you are going for. I’d say skip this for drip coffee and french press. For single dose espresso, moka pot, and Turkish, this works well. The capacity is good enough and the grind is consistent – no lumps at all. It is relatively quiet and grinds fast enough on finer settings. I like that the remaining grounds can be pushed out with the air pump on the top. The cup is also magnetic and fits portafilters.The entire construction of the body is aluminum I believe and the burr is stainless. The grinder takes a low profile on the counter but there is one major issue that makes me not use it as often. It is the laptop style power brick – which feels bulky and cumbersome. The worst part is that the manual states that it must be disconnected after each use. It sounds like a safety concern and I don’t want to go against manufacturers specs. If there was no alternative to the power, a dedicated on/off switch on the power bank could have improved the experience – but I would have loved to see a more compact solution. All in all, this grinds consistently well and almost fine enough for Turkish coffee.

Compact and adjustable conical burr grinder – can be a bit messy
This conical burr grinder does a great job of grinding coffee. The adjustment means it can produce coarse grinds for drip or a french press but can be adjusted to produce super fine espresso grind.It’s easy to adjust so I soon found the perfect grind for my espresso machine with a couple of attempts.The hopper is relatively small but it’s perfect for small batches of whole beans but it will need refilling often compared to one with a bigger hopper. Also the grind container has no lid due to the design of the grind dispenser.I found that even when I tapped the side of the dispenser, it seemed to still spill some grind after I removed the container which tended to mean spilled grounds on the counter top. There’s a bellows to blow the last few grounds into the container but this either means you have it on all the time or have to install it, put on the lid and then remove it – which does either detract from the slick design or be an extra step in the process.The grind container has a relatively narrow diameter so getting all of the grounds out with a spoon is fiddly and when I tried to pour it out of the container into the portafilter pot it tends to spill onto the counter top.This does tend to make this a bit messier than with my older machine but this does produce a much better grind. The grinder has a paint brush for keeping the grinder clean but I was fortunate that I have a specific brush for keeping the counter clean of coffee grounds.The other thing I noticed is that whilst the button is easy enough to push, there’s no timer available so you have to press the button until you’ve got all the grounds that you want as opposed to having a timer that you press and do something else whilst it grinds away which was handy with my previous grinder.Summary – it does an amazing job with grinding coffee to perfection, it has the odd shortcoming as noted but the results with the actual coffee that it made were exceptional.
