Good tasting coffee!
The first cup of coffee in the morning is the one that always tastes the best. My old brand was no longer available and this one was suggested for a replacement. It is smooth bold and flavorful. I would recommend you give it a try.

Strong coffee
This Brooklyn Coffee has coffee beans down to a science.
Dark roast, beans, xtra strong.
Maybe 20 years ago, in Massachusetts, I was able to purchase some coffee beans that were equally good.
That was 20 years past-tense.
Now Brooklyn Coffee has roasted the perfect bean.
Aroma, brew, taste are all extraordinary.
Perfect cup of Joe, come day or night.

Best tasting dark roast coffee
My wife and I have explored many different brands and varieties of dark roast. One of our favorites is from Sweden and hard to get stateside. Tried this one and decided to switch to this as our regular. One of the best tasting and reasonably priced brands.

excellent smooth robust flavor
These beans are amazing! I use an old Saeco Aroma espresso machine, it works great! These dark rich beans provide a magnificent robust very smooth flavor, the coffee is very low if none acidity (I hate acid bitter coffee) I was using Don Pablo Cuban dark roast (also an excellent bean) â¦.. however I will most definitely substitute with Brooklyn â¦. I had never heard of or seen them before and gave it a shotâ¦â¦ honestly very impressive and well priced! I am an espresso coffee addict â¦ yes with some milk and sugar or as cortado ! I
highly recommend if you love a dark flavored bean but with a smooth taste , this is it. The creamy brew is obviously whatever machine u have, and mine produces an excellent creamy rich dark brown color with these beans!

UPDATE
*UPDATED REVIEW* After further experimentation with the water/coffee ratio, I discovered that I needed to use more coffee-to-water ratio rather than less to eliminate the bitter aftertaste. Once I found the perfect recipe for my electric percolator, I now really enjoy this coffee.
I love coffee — strong, flavorful, European-style coffee. I always grind my own coffee beans, and I only perk. I was so excited to try this brand because it checked off so many boxes for me: the superior Arabica bean, dark roasted to a (hopefully) deep, satisfying flavor. At its best, dark roast coffee should have a heavy body with low acidity and deep, sweet flavor notes. Unfortunately, this coffee disappoints on most counts. The bean does have a dark, slightly oily appearance, and upon opening the bag, I was treated to an enticing aroma. However, the end product resulted in a mediocre, slightly bitter coffee with a strong, weird aftertaste. I experimented with different grinds and amounts, but nothing yielded anything close to the expected result.

Good value.
I’ve tried several coffees in the past year. This ITALIAN Dark Roast Whole bean â 5 LB is perhaps not the *best* coffee, but it ranks very highly. The price makes it even better. At $.52/ounce, it blows away other coffees that I might like better. I’m not finished experimenting, not by a long shot, but this is very good coffee that I’m willing to serve to family and guests. I like the 5 pound bag. I grind about twice a week, about 1/2 pound at a time. The remainder gets resealed, and put inside of an airtight plastic canister. It stays fresh right up until the last batch of grinding.
What does it taste like? Well, it has that sorta chocolatey taste that people talk about. There are flavors that linger on the upper pallete and at the back of the tongue. It’s just a nice, full bodied, satisfying taste (and aroma) that competes with many other, much more expensive brands of coffee.
Some reviewers have commented on the oily beans. Yes, these are somewhat oily. Those oils contain the aromatics that give coffees their distinctive flavors. It seems to me that those oily beans are a requirement for good, dark roast coffees.
I’m giving this coffee 5 stars.
