Update: itâs 2023 and this machine is still working well. I descale it and I clean the group head screen each time I do a deep cleaning. Because itâs 7 years old I am starting to anticipate that I could fail soon however it doesnât seem to have any malfunctions yet. I paid $356 for this machine when I got it and paired with the smart grinder pro I feel like I have gotten my money worth. It costs me like $70 dollars a year to own this machine for the past 7 years and has made lots of tasty drinks. I am thinking about getting the same one again but now it costs more than when I bought it. The quality of my machines has been so great and I am so glad I went with a simple and very reliable machine.ââ/âââââââââ-This machine is really amazing, and I don’t regret not getting the Barista express or the infuser. I did lots of research, and I almost went with the Barista express but then I realized I didn’t want my machine and grinder to be in one machine just incase one of them breaks. I also am realizing how nice it is to have a small expresso machine with these advanced features on it. I did buy the Breville Grinder and now I am trying to work with the single wall baskets, and I am finding that I am getting really nice creme and good shots. I recently bought a De’longi EC 155 for my work and after working with it It makes me realize how happy I am with my Breville. This Breville has been so nice and it is so great to have the auto purge, because trying to bring it back to temp is such a pain. I love that this machine has booth pressurized and non-pressurized which makes it a great machine to step up in to the expresso world. I am so pleased with my machine and I hope to have it for years to come.

This machine is awesome!!!
I had a difficult time sorting through reviews for espresso machines in this price range, and I eventually decided that they had more to do with the personalities of the coffee snobs writing the reviews than with the actual machines. Trying to sound superior by excoriating a piece of equipment over trifling details is not helpful to people trying to figure out which is a good machine to buy. Someone was kind enough to mention on another machine’s negative review they wrote that they really loved the Breville Duo-Temp Pro, so I looked it up and the reviews were mostly positive. I found a couple of videos on YouTube reviewing the product and it seemed to be a great value for this price range.Now that I’ve used it, I wish I would’ve bought one a long time ago. It’s unfortunate it took like 7 years for my Krups machine to die for me to go looking for a replacement. This machine warms up quickly and makes delicious espresso. It’s not gritty like my Krups machine made; you won’t have dregs in the bottom of your cup. It comes with 4 filter cups and the instructions say to use the single wall cups for home ground coffee and the double wall cups for store ground coffee. I tried the single wall cup the first time and found that it made great espresso but there was no frothy stuff (I refuse to call it “crema”). I googled and found where Breville had told someone to try the double wall cup. This worked beautifully; I got lots of frothy stuff. If you have a conical burr grinder you should be fine. I don’t normally bother with milk but I frothed a batch just to see how well it worked, and it was great.The Duo-Temp is quieter than my Krups machine. The volume is probably somewhere between my dishwasher and my blender. I like that it turns itself off when it reaches the 2-cup mark. I also like that it leaves a puck that is bone dry; I was used to my Krups machine leaving a sloppy, wet mess that I would occasionally drip on the floor on the way to the trash can. The tamping tool is really good; there’s no need to buy your own. The milk jug is really solid too. The entire piece of equipment feels quality. Amazon had it about $70 cheaper than Bed, Bath, and Beyond. You’d have to be pretty critical to find something to complain about with this machine. I know that there are some who will. Don’t let their silly agenda dissuade you for buying this awesome machine.

I love Breville!
I had an old Breville espresso machine Model: 800ESXL that I purchased in January 2007 (yes I still have the paper work for the machine). That espresso machine lasted 17 YEARS!!! It made the most delicious espresso up until its last day. It surpassed all my expectations of an espresso machine. I was in need of a new one but couldnât spend too much at the time. So I settled for a Gevi espresso machine Model:GECME022-U. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed with the Gevi model. Everything was made of plastic and it only lasted 8 months before the whole machine started leaking water from every part. I could never get a good tasting espresso from the Gevi machine. So I saved up enough to invest in a new Breville espresso machine Model:BES810 BSSUSC. I made my first cup of espresso today with my new machine and at last, I had my perfect beloved espresso back again!!! Lesson learned: you get what you pay for. If this espresso machine lasts nearly as long as my first one did than Breville – you will have a customer for life! Time will tellâ¦One thing that has changed from the original Breville machine I had is the water tank. I am not crazy about it being on the back of the machine. I find it difficult to reach your hand down in the tank for cleaning. Also, being on the back of the unit it is hard to see the water level. I loved the older model that had the wide box like water tank in the center with the water level window you could see from the front. Just my opinion.Thank you Breville for making a great quality espresso machine!!! âï¸ð¥°

In the past we could never find a coffee machine that would heat up to a Hot temperature. After giving coffee machines a break for almost ten years. We were inspired to get a espresso machine after visiting Paris for the 3 rd time and every time we go there. We visit our favourite coffee shop for either an espresso or Americano!! We researched and researched until we were satisfied we bought or hoped to have bought the best possible espresso machine / Americano!! Yes you can make Americanos , and not just Espressoâs cappuccinos and lattes And Hot! Very Hot! Not those hot for 30 seconds and then cools down! One of my efforts to find the best espresso machines was to type into google âconsumer top 10 espresso machines â. And this unit was # 2. # 1 was close to $1000 as it had a built in brr grinder. Not the smartest thing to do combing two units into one. What if one breaks down then your out of the other while in for repairs !Also found good research on YouTube, loads of information on this unit seeing it working and demonstrating all it can do. We were sold we were convinced this was the one! And we are so happy with the quality results! Taste quality and temp just like those fancy baristas with the commercial espresso machines costing thousands of dollars! We also purchased the matching smart pro grinder. The set and forget feature is awesome!!!! Why have a manual grinder when an automatic grinds and dispenses and shuts off because the dispenser is set up for this espresso machine. Set for 1 shot or two. And you can adjust dispenser time and it remembers your last timed grind and dispense! Over. All very easy to use and clean up of the espresso machine. The steamer is very very powerful! Italian made 15 bar pump. Sounds amazing just that we don’t know what that means lol!!! I guess quality that performs! A handy feature too is that if you make a Americano instead of the espresso. You dispense hot water right after turning off the espresso shot then switch to hot water then bring to 3/4 near the top then add cream or milk. Either heat it with the included stainless steal pitcher or put the steamer nozzle directly into your coffee cup and warm it up with 135 deg steam! After a month of use we love it! We No longer buy coffee or espresso out unless weâre in Paris of course!
