Temperature strip is dim when and if it lights
The first impression I got from the images was that the lights were LEDs. When I received the mug I searched for instructions (missing) and where the thin battery would be. Once I figured out that the strip is not powered but just changes colors based upon temperature, I realized there was no battery. Several reviewers have said the strip doesn’t work at all, others say it works fine. In my case I think it’s somewhere in between. There is a learning curve to getting it to “light up” and being able to observe it when there is a change. Stainless steel is a poor conductor of heat, and getting enough heat to the strip for it to react may depend upon starting temperature of the milk, how much you use, and frothing technique. I have learned to get it to show results, but I got none at first. It stays pitch black the entire time right until I’m nearly done when it finally registers something just as stop. I can see why so many people return this, but in my case I’m figuring out how to get it to work better.

Junk – temperature does not even read with boiling water in jug. Your hands will literally burn before temp gauge reads anything – save yourself the money. Plus, even after washing repeatedly, the steamed milk has metal taste. Run like the wind from this product.

This is a very good item to have with a milk steamer. The milk jug that came with my machine does not have a temperature indicator. This milk jug with temperature indicator takes the guesswork out of how hot youâre getting you steamed milk. A worthwhile purchase.

I bought a coffee machine with a steaming wand and wanted to make hot chocolates. Without this temperature cup, I would never be able to do it! The hot milk makes the base of the cup too hot to hold with your fingers before it reaches the desired temperature, so you need that temp reading. Itâs awesome. I clean it by hand in the sink and have had it for at least a year with no issues – still working perfectly.

The cup is fabricated from SS and has a pouring nozzle along with a temperature strip in the lower section of the cup. It senses the milk temperature and displays the range as a bar strip. the temperature indicated is fairly accurate for what it is being used for.- You do not want to wash this in the dishwasher but only handwash- good build quality and the SS metal is thick so it will last, at least the cup, the temperature strip is another question as to how long it will be viewable- Missing in my option is a pad on the base to tamp the milk after frothing it so that the foam separates from the milk- another addition that would improve this item is having a second temperature strip on the other side so when left-handed persons use it they can view the temperatureBartos
