And hands down returning it. The mess it creates with the grinds takes any joy out of grinding coffee beans and the selector dials are entirely pointless. I generally brew 10 cup pot every morning and usually dump 11 heaping coffee spoons into a drip coffee maker. The 10 in the dial gives you 18 spoons. Have to have the dial set to 4 to get 11 standard spoons. The courseness of the grind also doesn’t do anything. The 3 drip settings produce a really fine grind more meant for espresso. Customer support just yielded an email telling you to call them which I didn’t bother doing. OVerall, avoid this product. The Bad-It’s somewhat louder than expected but it’s a coffee grinder.-The cup selector numbers on the dial don’t mean anything. 5 produces 10 scoops and 10 on the dial produces 17. 2 produces 4 and so on.-Messy. The grind basket is poorly designed. When you pull it out, grinds get everywhere no matter what you do. It’s also statically charged? The grinds stick to the sides of the basket a lot. Brauns solution to this was providing a somewhat useless brush.Good- it looks very nice. Compliments the Braun drip coffee maker.-does give a consistent grind appropriate for drip coffee makerAll in all I’m returning it for something else.

After searching for a long time, I decided to go for this grinder even if it didn’t have many reviews. The ones that got were positive.I can say that I am pretty happy with my purchase. It is very easy to use. Easy to clean and it works for my espresso machine.I was looking for an espresso coffee grinder. Even it is not the finest l’ve seen, it is fine enough to make espresso on my Delonghi Machine.I have only tried one kind of coffee beans, so I couldn’t say how well it works with different kinds. But I am pretty happy with the way it works and the quality of the product. It does get a little bit of a static because the cup it is plastic. So it is normal to do so. But it is not messy at all.I also like it is not loud. It makes noise because it is a machine, but not loud at all.I made a very good choice.

We use this solely for coffee beans. It has multi adjustable grind settings from course to fine. i like that it grinds instead of chopping. We primarily use it for a stovetop espesso pot and it grinds it fine enough for that purpose. The part i don’t like is the static electricity that builds up when grinding that sprays coffee grounds everywhere when you take the lid off and empty it into another container. Other than that, the grind settings are many and accurate and it makes a quick job of grinding.

update 2:The grinds hopper has a broken corner on it and I am unable to find replacement parts. This grinder is a not able to do daily grinds and hold up. Poor quality PLASTIC…The grinds reservoir also releases while in operation which wastes even more coffee.I waste so much coffee with this imposter of a quality grinder. Every morning I end up with a mess of grounds all over my counter.I’m going back to my little blade grinder, it has no bean hopper but it is efficient and does not waste my premium coffee beans.Update:I plan to replace this grinder as it wastes way too much coffee. I end up with grounds all over the place with this grinder. The ground coffee sticks to the grinds reservoir and it spills out when attempting to dump the grinds into my large french press. Then there’s the pile of grinds that falls when you remove the reservoir. I thought this grinder would be convenient and easy when it’s actually a high maintenance grinder with a lot of waste coffee grounds.Very poor design. It took a bit to get the settings dialed in for my french press. It seems to be calibrated to grind way more than the number of cups on the dial indicator. The worst thing is the mess that this grinder makes. The ground coffee tray get static and the grinds stick to the sides making pouring the grounds a messThe mess made when the grinds tray is removed is the biggest issue. There are always grinds that get into the try slot and they need top be cleaned out after each use.I had one of these grinders before and the burr gears simply blew up one day.I don’t recall the messy aspect from my first unit. This is NOT a grinder to put on your counter and simply use daily, it requires a lot of tending to clean and the wasted grounds add up.I would make a firm pass on this grinder and get a better model.

I really wanted to like this Braun coffee grinder – it nearly fits 100% of my needs on paper – it’s compact for my small apartment, sleek and modern looking, less than 100 dollars and does a burr grinding. And I had high hopes given that this is from a reputable German company with fancy German engineering, but there’s a couple issues with this coffee grinder. First of all – it makes a mess when taking the grinds out to use. The output hole where the coffee comes out is on the side of the holding container and not on top, so any grinds that are still in the spout that hasn’t made it into the container falls out and on to the table when emptying the grinding container instead of falling into the container had the spout been over it. Also, the container is a 2 part container with a flimsy lid that’s you need to take off before you can get the coffee out. Why does this need to be a 2 piece container? When removing the lid, the fine coffee chaff will always fly off into the table or onto the floor!. Secondly, the majority of the grind settings is decent, but even on the coarse setting, there is still a good amount of ultra fine powder like grinds, for coffee purists and pour overs, this ultra fine grinds defeat the purpose of a burr mill grinder – might as well go with a blade style grinder where you will end up with some ultra fine grinds.

I had my Kaiser grinder( made by an Korean factory which is exactly same with Delonghi DCG-4 copied from Braun KMM10) for 20 years and it is gradually dysfuntional. I accidentally found this Braun KG7070 as the new generation of previous Braun classic grinders. Immediately place the order and I am so happy to have this perfect grinder now. Here are some pros1. low noise2. beautiful & modern design3. 18 grind setting4. very even grind5. made of solid material6. space to store cord7. high efficiency grinding8. detach either up burr or powder storage bin, grinder won’t start as a safety security.I will 100% recommend this perfect grinder and use it for the next 20 years.** Funny matter: It’s made in China and shipped to USA, then I bought it and shipped to Taiwan. What a international trade and long way detour.

In addition to the superior German quality, if you grind coffee beans, you should choose this product with a disk. The ones with blades are definitely not for coffee, I recommend using them for spices. To get the best results from the beans, you should choose a disc grinder, I highly recommend this new coffee grinder from Braun in terms of both quality and price.
