Perfect jar
I needed a clear glass jar for minced garlic. I was using an old jam jar. This new one sealed it up and i donât have the garlic smell in my refrigerator anymore.

Perfect size for CDS
This is a 1/2 liter mason-style jar (17.5oz, I’m new to mason jars!). I got this for CDS chlorine dioxide preparation. It’s the perfect size for a 350ml preparation, along with the “mini measure shot glass” (which is graduated to 30ml or 2tbsp). With 350ml of distilled water, it comes up near the rim of the shot glass, but just enough below it that you can grab the rim and pull the shot glass out, and also very gently move the whole thing around without sloshing the water into the shot glass. And there’s not too much remaining air space above the water, which is another CDS preference when making. This jar is very solid and has a very nice thick solid feel to it.One caveot though. Even though the gasket is white, nowhere in the listing does it say the gasket is silicon. It only says rubber. And rubber reacts with CDS. But turns out(!), you can get “replacement mason jar gaskets silicon” on Amazon too! Apparently if it’s a mason jar it’s a standard size opening. So just to be sure, I also order a pack of replacement gaskets that I know are silicon, and tossed the gasket that came with this jar.

Quality product
I purchased this product to replace one that I had had for a few years of much lesser quality. The Italian version, this Bormioli container is incredible materials and construction. Far superior to the less expensive version.

About 3.5 inches wide mouth – convenient.Capacity 1/2 L which is actually 16.9 ounces.Seems it will hold up to use. I will use it to store sugar. Insert gives instructions for use and care.

Totally LOVE this brand
The container that the Ceylon Turmeric from Druera came in is flimsy, I have to handle with care, Now I don’t, I LOVE this Bormioli jar, is it a canister? Can be. I chose because of the shape and it looked like thick glass. It is a gorgeous little jar with the thickness I had hoped for. It sits out with all of the products for my morning smoothie. A little too small for the Turmeric, I might order up and use this for….anything!!I LOVE IT. I think maybe the Turmeric will be better kept in this than in the plastic contianer.

Once the first one was replaced – it’s perfect
The first one arrived broken and it was replaced very timely. It’s perfect – we use it for dog treats and the seal keeps the treats fresh and are easy to access quickly. 🙂

I bought this maybe 6 months ago, to hold my own beard balm concoction. The seal is amazing and the build quality and strength of the steel collar/hinges is top notch. The glass is very VERY thick and strong and looks amazing! Such an awesome jar!
