5 stars if you actually get what’s advertised!!!
*highlights*New version (advertised): 5/5Old version (what I got): 3.5/5Order experience: 0/5I was sent the older version of this same model, the one that unfortunately has the tiny hieroglyphics instead of just the words “fine” “medium” “course” I did take it out of the box just to test the functionality and it seemed to work great. I was worried the power button would not be responsive enough to use like a traditional coffee grinder and manually pulse the machine, but it started and stopped pretty quickly so I was happy with how that worked as well as the preprogrammed settings. But the older model with symbols was hard for me to make out and I primarily bought this for my grandmother in her late 70’s, no way she would be able to decipher those symbols and remember what they each do. Re ordered it to see if I would get the newer one that’s actually advertised on here, if I don’t I’m just gonna buy it at target (2 hour round trip I was trying to avoid)

    El mejor molino de café
La compré con recelo, pero como era marca Bodum pensé que valdría la pena, y sí lo valió. No hace casi nada de ruido, muele super rápido y puedo disfrutar de un café fresco cada vez.

    Stopped working after a year
I purchased this grinder a little over a year ago. The first couple of times using it the lid was a bit tricky to get it on right, but it wasn’t a big deal. It also started out pretty quiet. After a year of using this almost every day, it is louder than ever. The lid also slips loose during the middle of the grind, causing the grinder to stop prematurely. I have tried cleaning it and blowing air into all the crevices to no avail. I also contacted their customer service, which was of absolutely no use.DO NOT BUY THIS GRINDER, unless you don’t mind purchasing a new one every year.

It works great, I just needed a smaller one.
This is a very good grinder. Lid fits well. If one was making coffee for 3 or more it would be great.

    Inconsistent grind!
Paid an arm & a leg for this at Sur La Table (should’ve waited and bought it here). I was used to a Mazzer Mini for espresso and Baratza Encore for drip & press—but after a house fire everything is in storage waiting for de-smoke treatments. In a short-term rental for at least 6 mos., so the supplied B&D drip/Keurig (and my own mini-Nespresso) are not enough for this coffee geek. So, in order to use the fill-it-yourself attachment on the Keurig, I bought this, trusting the Bodum name. Should have waited to buy a burr grinder. Unless I set this grinder to its finest setting (for “espresso,” though the icon looks like a percolator), the coarse (“press pot”) and even “drip” settings leave “boulders”—huge chunks of beans, sometimes as large as half a bean—no matter how I set the timer/cup capacity. Makes barely acceptable coffee, whether using the DIY-Keurig attachment, pourover, French press or Aeropress methods. I gave up and ordered an OXO burr grinder, which will do until we can move back to our (hopefully) restored home. I will clean this grinder out to use for spices & nuts—an expensive lesson. I got hosed, so that you won’t (if you read this review).

    Quiet
Super quiet, great grinder. Will occasionally shut off midway if lid loosens. Can use to gring flax seeds as well

    Like!
Bodum Bistro Electric Coffee Grinder. This grinder is nicer than I expected! It is much nicer than my previous one it replaced. It looks nicer and more high end and functions much better although it is more expensive.Likes:Compact size.Smooth powerful grinder motion.I like that the stainless steel container is tall and is mostly stainless steel (my previous one was only stainless still on the bottom third of the container). The blade appears durable and made of thick stainless steel.I like the 5 grind setting options including coarse, medium, fine and in-between options for my various coffee needs – espresso maker, coffee maker, cold brew, hand drip coffee, etc.4 cup settings to ensure all beans are ground.Modern simple sleek design.Like the high end look. Non-slip rubbery matte lining on the exterior of the base helps with safely moving the grinder around and makes it look more high end. There is also non-slip ribbed lining the control knobs which makes it easier to turn and looks nice as well.Stable with non-slip lining on bottom.User-friendly with turn dials and power control button.Bright and clear indicator lights.Other features: Twist lid to open and close/lock chamber. Transparent lid.Overall, nice looking grinder that cover my basic home coffee making needs.

Used – like new condition, but it was filthy inside and out with coffee grinds and the top cover was broken.

Looks to be a great item but for the fact it doesn’t grind the beans completely. It leaves large chunks of coffee beans in the grind! Easy to clean up but coffee seems to get pass the blade spindle into the base. The controls appear to be very flimsy. Not at all happy with it and it was returned.
